All Moments About Florence Bay
The Radical Bay
#australiatrip An amazing place to go for a relaxing walk along the beach, have a swim in the cool clear water. Somewhat challenging (3000 steps) up the beautiful mountain trail, running through the jungles mixed with eucalyptus layout. U will be welcomed by breeze coming off the actual beach itself once on the summit. Fantastic beach with no people, super clear water, fine sand, somewhat pink in the sunset, given the nearby rock minerals, beautiful round huge rock formations, plenty of coconut Palms and frangipani trees. Swim nude, no one will judge, given U are the oy one on the beach. Visited a week before Easter.
The Florence Bay
#australiatrip Beautiful sheltered bay, great snorkeling and swimming. Clear pristine beaches. On a calm day this is one of the most beautiful beaches I've been to and swimming there is a joy. Look out during stinger season and enjoy the abundance of fish and stingrays. Enjoy your swim when the water is clear and bring a mask and snorkel! Great view, good atmosphere, enough food options to stay a few days. Also good for a day trip
The Forts
#australiatrip What a cool hike that is worth doing if you're in Magnetic Island! It's about a 90min return and lots of WW2 history that's signed throughout where the soldiers were based between 1939-45. The views are glorious and it can get hit quick so early morning is recommended. Amazing views and I got to see a koala! The track is easy to climb and has drinking water available at one spot. There are no toilets though. It is very popular with families as well. It's best to rent a car and travel at your own pace else you will end up waiting for bus.
