Beautiful nature around Lake Venice
If you're tired of bathing in the lake, it's worth looking around the Lake of Venice as well.
There are hiking trails and look out towers around Sukoro and Pakozd.
You can admire beautiful birds in the reeds of the Mosquito Island.
Fortunately, I was there at noon and contrary to the name of the island, there were not many mosquitoes.
I try not to forget to put the insect repellent in my small backpack.
You can go around Lake Venice by bus leaving near train stations like Velence, Kápolnasnyek or from Szekesfehervar bus station.

Nice Venetian Promenade
The capital of Lake Venice is the city of Venice.
The promenade and the beaches are quite nice.
Unfortunately the promenade isn't that long so you cannot do a big walk there but if you feel it's very hot outside you can enter in the building and continue your walk there.
There are some shops and restaurants inside the building.
There's a nice terrace also but it's closed now I could go up there.
The train coming from Budapest stops at Venice city.

Enormous, huge, big statues near Pákozd
I have already mentioned that big hussar statue at one of the travel moments, but only now I understood why the statue was made.
There is a military memorial park near Pákozd in memory of all the soldiers and civilian victims who died in the wars.
The interesting thing is that I also found huge statues there.
Perhaps they made such large statues to attract more attention.
Children love them anyway.
The huge hussar statue made of about 100 tons of concrete, it is the largest lead soldier in the world.
The name of the hussar is "Miska".
You can visit them by bus leaving near train stations like Velence, Kapolnasnyek or from Szekesfehervar bus station.

Pákozd, interesting geological formation, the 'balancing rocks'
Pakozd village is close to a protected area where you can find the celebrated Ingókövek ('balancing rocks').
These weather-rounded granite blocks—Pogány-kő, Oroszlán-szikla, Kocka and others—rose to the surface as overlying gneiss eroded, making Pákozd the only Hungarian site with textbook granite tors.
There's way-marked trail from the village center to the protected area.
As you can see in the pictures, I actually found a rock that looks very unstable.
You can try your luck maybe you can find more.
If you aren't satisfied with the rocks you can enjoy the view of the Lake Venice or you can visit the huge hussar statue on the edge of the village.

Amazing sunset at Velencei tó
Lake Velence is one of Hungary's largest lakes, located at the foot of the Velence Hills. It is a popular holiday destination, attracting swimmers and water sports enthusiasts in the summer. The surrounding towns, such as Velence and Gárdony, offer stunning views and diverse activities. The area is characterized by a harmonious blend of nature and culture.
