Tomonoura is a port town at the southern end of Fukuyama City, Hiroshima, Japan. This place is a picture-perfect port city of literature and history, Tomonoura is a fascinating destination in Hiroshima Prefecture. While visiting the place I noticed that the place is very similar with one of the place I saw in the movie, and as I searched, Tomonoura was featured in the Marvel film ‘Wolverine'. The sea-facing section of town is breathtaking, with small boats bobbing up and down in the docks. The old town center has fairly narrow traditional streets, that are so well kept they are reminiscent of times long passed. It is a truly relaxing little town, with a wide variety of shrines and temples, and very friendly locals. #givethanks #givethanks

#summervacay My recent trip to Hiroshima was an unforgettable experience, filled with moments of peace, history, and delicious food. From the serene Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park to the shopping streets of downtown, I fell in love with the city's blend of tradition and modernity. Miyajima Island was a highlight, with its abundance of tasty local cuisine, the iconic Torii gate, and temples. Our adventure took us on various modes of transportation, including trains, ferries, sightseeing buses, and lively streetcars. Even waiting at streetcar stations was enjoyable, watching the cars arrive from different directions. We explored the Memorial Park, learned about the atomic bomb's history, and savored okonomiyaki at Nagataya. Afterward, we shopped at Hondori Street and discovered other local treats. The next day, a trip to the premium outlet, though far from the city, was worth the half-day spent there, where we picked up many great deals, including Blue Label bags. If you’re looking to visit Japan on a budget I’d strongly recommend checking out Hiroshima, it’s a wonderful city that doesn’t get enough praise for how budget friendly it is. It has a dark history but it’s turned into a lively and eclectic city with a huge food and shopping scene. ⭐️ Trains - We got the Shinkansen here from Osaka and it was a lot cheaper to do a train with stops. It only added 90 minutes to the journey but cost us half the price. The ticket agent will help you find cheaper tickets if you’re willing to do stops! ⭐️ Hotels - There are not as many options here compared to other cities in Japan so I stayed at a local boutique hotel. The rooms are small and there are not as many amenities as name brand chains but they’re great for a few days! we stayed in the Kiro hotel in Nishihiratsukacho. ⭐️ transport - the best part about Hiroshima is how compact The city is and you can walk to most of the hot spots. We only used transport when it rained. Everything else we walked to, so a great way to save money! ⭐️ Food - we didn’t have any issues here with food, even the more premium meals we had were very well priced and great quality. To save money head to Hondori! One of the biggest covered pedestrian streets I’ve seen, hundreds of street food vendors and restaurants. We came here everyday as we saw so much we wanted to try! There is also Korean BBQ / Sushi / teppanyaki on the side street if you want to spend more money. ⭐️ Nature - Hiroshima is a very green and beautiful city so a lot of our time was spent exploring and enjoying this.
