This is one of the best hikes i’ve ever had . It’s located in the peak district. Though it’s just only a hill but the view up there is jaw dropping. We’ve met some new friends and it was really fun. So, after reaching at the top, we had our lunch over there, took a rest, and climbed down eventually. A visit to a 19th century mill might not sound like the best idea for a winter’s walk but visiting Bamford Mill and the surrounding area in England’s oldest national park, the Peak District may change your mind. This easy walk takes in not only the beautiful historic building but takes you over stepping stones on the Derwent river with small waterfalls besides you, to open moorland with fantastic views of the surrounding area to a quite spot alongside Bamford reservoir. England’s first, most visited and most accessible national parks has many sights and sounds for all to enjoy however the town of Castleton and its imposing peak of Mam Tor may top that list. The town itself features many cafes and restaurants and on top of that a number of famous caves where you can either descend on foot or by boat.
