People here place a lot of importance on this celebration. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. on December 31, 2024 at Jiefangbei Financial Street, with the event centered around the Clock Tower/People's Liberation Monument, an important landmark that everyone has filled up. 🎈The highlight is that it is a memorable countdown that fits the PM 2.5 dust reduction campaign theme. There will be no fireworks, but balloons will be released instead... So cool... Everyone will be holding balloons all over the event and they will release them together at 00.01 a.m.! With the light and sound show on the shopping mall in this area 👏 It's fun and strange. We booked a room in Jiefangbei and chose a room that could see the atmosphere from the room. It's great. The atmosphere and view from above are not disappointing at all... It can be called "Time Square of China", no exaggeration!

And this time, the Volin Jinglv Hotel (Jiefangbei and Hongyadong Branch) where I stayed added a bright touch to my journey. The location of the hotel is absolutely excellent, making it extremely convenient for traveling. Whether you want to go to the bustling Jiefangbei to experience the prosperity of the city or take a stroll to Hongyadong to enjoy the dreamy Bayu style, it only takes a few minutes' walk. However, when you turn around and enter the back of the hotel, it seems like you've stepped into another quiet world. There is an elegant and peaceful tea room where I had the pleasure of tasting Xiuya tea from Yongchuan, Chongqing. Taking a sip gently, the fragrance of the tea spreads on the tip of the tongue. That freshness and sweetness instantly dispel the tiredness of the journey, making one feel relaxed and happy. I must mention the amiable front desk staff of the hotel. During my stay, no matter what problems I encountered, they always answered them patiently with a smiling face, making me feel as warm and at ease as if I were at home. What surprised me even more was the benefit of the hotel restaurant. It can be used once within the time period from 7:30 to 20:30. Entering the restaurant, I found that it was a small noodle shop full of Chongqing characteristics. When the bowl of authentic Chongqing noodles was served on the table, the aroma wafted over. The chewy noodles, paired with the spicy and rich seasonings, every bite was full of the enthusiasm and boldness of Chongqing, satisfying my appetite as a food lover and truly allowing me to experience the unique charm of Chongqing's food culture. Hongya Cave, originally known as Hongya Gate, was one of the ancient city gates along the Jialing River in Chongqing. During the Three Kingdoms period, the mountain city was fortified with earthen walls. In the Southern Song Dynasty, during the resistance against the Mongol Yuan Dynasty, the walls were rebuilt with stone. Hongya Gate was originally an open gate, but it was captured by the Yuan general Wang Weican after a fierce battle, taking the Song general. During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, the city was reconstructed, and the gate was changed to a closed one. Hongya Cave is a large grotto beneath the cliff outside Hongya Gate, also known as the Immortal Cave. It is said that in ancient times, an immortal of Hongya practiced Taoism here.
