The Botanic Museum, a complex cultural space in Jinhae, offers free admission when you purchase a café drink, allowing you to tour the facility as much as you want. I was able to enjoy the beautiful outdoor garden with my kids while drinking an Americano. Anticipating an earlier Spring because of global warming, I booked our trip for the last week of March. As we got closer to our departure date though, it became clear to me that we were two weeks too early. True enough, there were little more than red bulbs on the trees when we were there. But luckily for us, there was also Jinhae. About a four-and-a-half hour bus ride south of Seoul, Jinhae is a sleepy naval town that’s home to the biggest cherry blossom festival in South Korea. It’s warmer there so their festival starts earlier, around the first week of April. This year, it was from March 24-30. The cod, a seasonal fish, returns to the southern coast of Korea from late November to January of the following year during its winter spawning season! It returns to Gadeok Island in Busan to spawn, and the cod is so delicious that when you think of cod, you immediately think of Gadeok cod. It’s currently cod season, so I visited Yongwon Hoejip, which sells cod soup as a winter specialty. It’s a special menu item sold only in the winter, and the clear broth made from cod was exquisite! I always added dadegi seasoning to my food, but this place didn’t have dadegi seasoning. When I asked, they said it was better to drink the soup without dadegi seasoning than to eat it with dadegi seasoning! It was my first time trying clear broth, and it was so delicious and healthy with various side dishes~! There were many places to sit and eat inside, but it was so crowded that it was almost full even though I went early. In addition, it has a cozy and warm atmosphere, as if it were a mountain lodge in the forest. If you visit during the day, you can see the ocean in front of Jinhae, and if you visit at night, you can enjoy the night view. I drank jujube tea, strawberry latte, and lemon tea, and all the drinks were delicious, and the croissant made from rice had a rich flavor. And the dacquoise made from rice was very chewy and delicious. Also, the owner is such a warm and nice person, so it's a cafe I want to visit again! If you have the luxury to travel out of Seoul during spring. Please visit here for the best and most beautiful cherry blossom. In The next two weeks time flower will be blooming. While Cherry blossoms absolutely cover the small city of Jinhae, there are three spots in particular that will leave you with your jaw on the ground. Feel free to wander the streets, but always try to be walking towards one of these spots. They are all quite a ways from each other, and taxis in this area are quite hard to come by, so be prepared for lots of walking if you plan on hitting all of them! There is also a 'Yeojwacheon Romance Bridge' nearby. I recommend you to visit together.There are tons of cafes, souvenir shops and street food lining this little trickle of a stream, and it is, without a doubt, the best place to see the cherry blossoms in Jinhae. The cherry blossoms outside the window were so beautiful that I could feel the spring spirit even inside the cafe. Of course, the coffee was impressive, but the desserts that matched the spring season were also impressive. If you visit this time of year when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, you can have a truly special experience at this cafe!

The view of Jinhae from the Anmin Pass Observatory was really beautiful. Sometimes, when I feel stuffy, I go up there. It feels like my chest is opening up.
