The ascent via Llanberis was steady and relatively straightforward, with great views along the way. Reaching the top was a rewarding moment, despite the wind making it feel much colder. But the real highlight of the hike was the descent via the Miners' Track—the views were absolutely breathtaking, with stunning lakes and rugged landscapes all around. Overall, it was an amazing hike, and I’d highly recommend this route for those who want a mix of a gradual climb and a scenic, more dramatic descent. Snowdonia never disappoints!

Those wanting to avoid the difficult and often dangerous Crib Goch route or the long slog following the train-line for Llanberis whilst still taking in dramatic views and scenery should head to the minder path. Starting at Pen y Pass car park this route was originally built for the copper miners who once worked in the area, artefacts from the era can still be viewed today. The route circles around a number of tarns before starting its steep ascent to the summit.
