The next stop is Tangshan. I decided to stop at Luanzhou first because I saw that Luanzhou also has an ancient city. I entered Luanzhou at night and stayed near the ancient city. I ran around the ancient city at night. Although it was past 9:00, the ancient city gates and archways were lit up with antique lights. Although the nearby food street was already deserted, the lights were still flashing in various colors. I came to the east gate of the ancient city early the next morning. The sidewalk was wide, and there were many free parking spaces after the summer vacation. The city gate was tall and magnificent, and it was free to enter. The words "Luanzhou" on the city gate were written by Emperor Qianlong. On the walls inside the gate, there are descriptions of the 18 emperors from Qin Shi Huang, Emperor Wu of Han, to Jiaqing who had connections with Luanzhou. After reading, I felt the weight of history and paid my respects to Luanzhou. It is said that Luanzhou Ancient City is about 1250 meters long from east to west and about 900 meters wide from north to south. Walking all the way to the Shimen (Stone Gate), the path to the summit is nearly at its end. Only a short distance remains before reaching the peak. So here at Shimen, I'm not in a hurry to reach the summit. Instead, I take the time to check in properly, rest for a while, and have something to eat. Especially, the view opposite the Shimen is simply stunning. The mountains and snowy fields under the blue sky and white clouds look particularly beautiful🧐 After reaching the summit, I didn't go straight to check in at the buildings there. Instead, I walked a bit further along another path from the summit because I wanted to see if it was possible to descend the mountain from there, what kind of road it was, and if there were any other landscapes to see. It would be the same to rush back to the summit to take photos later. Indeed, on the way down from the summit to the other side, I saw something like a stone gate of a city wall, where I did a simple check-in🙇 After passing through that city gate, I saw another breathtaking view. The ancient city of Luanzhou is shaped like a horizontal rectangle, like a pencil case; you can enter from either the West Gate or the East Gate (the East Gate has a city tower). Next to it is a pagoda where everyone takes photos. Tickets to climb to the top are 20 yuan, but there is no elevator, so you have to climb the stairs yourself.
