All Moments About Mukah
Dalat, a beauty nature!
Dalat is a town and the administrative centre of the subdistrict of the same name in Mukah Division, in the Malaysian state of Sarawak. It is located near the mouth of Oya River with the South China Sea.
According to Heidi Munan's book "How Dalat Got Its Name", Dalat was named following a bloodshed among three brothers as the village chief did not name a successor. Many people died in the war. Corpses lying in the village attracted flies. "Dalat" means fly in the Melanau language, and therefore, the locals named the village Dalat, which is now a small town.

short trip to mukah
What a wonderful staycation in Mukah Kingwood Resort with my husband. We stayed in a deluxe room, with walk in price RM110/room, no breakfast included. Room with balcony, a king-size bed, and sea view. It's about 10-15minutes drive from Mukah town area. A quiet and relax place to stay. There is a big restaurant at ground floor. Restaurant provide food with reasonable price, taste is acceptable. There are also private swimming pool and beach. Staffs are friendly too. The only thing is this resort is quite old, some parts needed maintenance.

Kaul (or P
Kaul (or Pesta Kaul) is a Melanau annual "cleansing" when traditionally, uninvited spirits and other bad influences were escorted out of the village by a flotilla of boats, and ceremonial offerings of food, cigarettes and betel nut were set on the Seraheng (decorated pole) at the river mouth.[2]
Originating from the animistic beliefs traditionally held by the Melanau people, Kaul is held annually in Bulan Pengejin (The month of the Spirits)[4] of the Melanau Calendar, which is usually in the end of April, as a purification and thanks giving to appease the spirits of the sea called Ipok. It coincides with the end of the Northeast monsoon, once a time of hardship when the sea was too rough to fish and the villages often suffered from flooding. Traditionally, Villages would be palei or taboo for days before Kaul. No one was allowed to leave or enter, and people underwent purification ceremonies during Kaul. The celebration of Kaul concluded with a communal picnic at the river mouth, followed by a return to the village and again three days of prescribed restrictions.

Oya Beach, the natural beauty
Oya Beach is located in Dalat, Sarawak. This business is working in the following industry: Sports and recreation.
The beach is developed in the sense that it has some amenities, like benches, a public toilet and a playground (swings etc.)
What is not so good is the fact that the municipal council don't really manage waste well, so you would see uncollected garbage, especially after the weekend. The sand is a bit coarser than that of Oya Beach, but for families, this is nice!
