Turkey🇹🇷 Zelve Open Air Museum
Turkey🇹🇷 Zelve Open Air Museum
This is a relatively unknown museum in Goreme where the cave feels more complete. There is also a complete church in the depths, and opposite the church is a huge cave. I'm curious how people at that time completed these projects without modern tools!
Turkish 🇹🇷 Zelve Open-Air Museum
Less known near Göreme, this museum features more intact caves. It includes a complete church deep within and a huge cave opposite it. Wondering how people achieved these without modern tools is fascinating!

Turkey🇹🇷 Fairy Chimney
Turkey🇹🇷 Fairy Chimney
About 10-15 minutes' drive from Goreme Open Air Museum, you will arrive at this fantastic place, known as Fairy Chimneys, but I think it is more appropriate to call it "Mushroom Rock" in Chinese.
Formed by volcanic eruptions in prehistoric times, these strange rocky landscapes are composed of andesite and basalt, giving rise to shapes that today look like shiitake mushrooms.
Turkish 🇹🇷 Fairy Chimneys
A 10-15 minute drive from Göreme Open Air Museum takes you to this dreamy place called Fairy Chimneys. I think the Chinese term "Mushroom Rocks" suits it better.
These unique rock formations, shaped like mushrooms, were formed by volcanic eruptions in ancient times, composed of andesite and basalt.

Cappadocia emotional journey - Mushroom Rock Pasha Ba & Cave Restaurant Jar Kebab Experience
#EuropeanGuide
The charm of Cappadocia doesn't end with hot air balloons. Paşabağ is a unique mushroom rock formation called the 'Fairy Chimney', and is a key course where you can truly feel the exotic scenery.
If you walk between the rock crevices, you can see natural caves and stone caves where monks lived right before your eyes. There are many good photo spots, so be sure to walk slowly.
In the afternoon, we recommend tasting the representative Turkish dish 'Testi Kebab' at a traditional restaurant located inside the cave. The performance of breaking hot baked jars with a hammer is also a feast for the eyes and mouth.
In particular, the interior design that preserves the limestone unique to Cappadocia creates a deep atmosphere.
Reservations are required according to the tour schedule, and finding hidden restaurants recommended by local guides is another fun thing.
The unrealistic landscapes and local meals in the cave restaurant in Pasabag are a must-see for any European travel itinerary that will turn a simple trip into a ‘memorable experience’.

It is a beautiful and small open air museum.
It is a beautiful and small open air museum. It is nice to see the original form of fairy chimneys. Also, the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful in the area. He directed us to the Zelve Museum himself. We were very pleased. You don't need to spend a long time. You can visit this area in 15 minutes. Museum Card is valid. There is no parking problem.

very beautiful fairy chimneys🥹💕
There are many fairy chimneys in Nevşehir. We preferred to visit here. You can visit all the fairy chimneys by following the walking paths. Entrance is provided by museum card or fee. There is free parking. There are cafes and souvenir shops at the entrance. There are single-headed and multi-headed fairy chimneys. There are also houses built inside fairy chimneys. There is also a fairy chimney used as a period church. It also has white hills. We liked it very much. There are flowers etc. very beautiful views. I recommend it to everyone.

A Smurf Village Surrounded by Mushroom Rocks
Pasabag Valley is a unique place formed by the flow of lava over volcanic ash spewed out during the eruption of Mount Erciyes, followed by centuries of erosion and weathering, creating its peculiar landscape.
Traces of ancient monks who sought refuge from persecution in the 4th century remain here, leading locals to call it 'Monks' Valley.' The extraordinary scenery, entirely surrounded by mushroom-shaped rocks, is truly breathtaking.
There's a story that George Lucas, the director of 'Star Wars,' drew inspiration from this place to create the home planet of Luke Skywalker. Additionally, Peyo, the creator of 'The Smurfs,' is said to have been inspired by this location to depict the hidden mushroom village deep in the forest. A magnificent spot! ✨

The symbolic place of Cappadocia, Pasabag Valley 😍
One of the iconic places in Cappadocia, you have to pay an entrance fee to enter.
Smurf Village, Pasabag Valley, the village of monks, is so beautiful. Pasa means general in Turkish. The mushrooms look like the hats of Ottoman generals. You can see it in less than an hour, but the scenery is so beautiful.

Pasabag Valley, nicknamed the Smurf Village!
Pashaba Valley, nicknamed Smurf Village!
The entrance fees for Koreans and foreigners are different.
If you are a foreigner, it is very disappointing!!
It is a place that was also featured in the solo tour, and it seems very special to say that it was created naturally.
There are paid restrooms (10 lira) and rest areas and souvenir shops around the ticket booth, but the prices are not cheap and it would be better not to expect souvenirs.

How to get to Smurf Village Pashaba Valley 👍🏻
When going to Pasabag Valley, you can use the Dolmushi from Goreme (details are written in the review of the Zelve Museum), and when returning, you can board in front of the Pasabag Valley parking lot. It comes every hour and passes every 5 to 10 minutes. Using the Dolmushi was very convenient because it took 1 hour and 30 minutes to see the Zelve Museum, and after taking a short 10-minute break, I walked to Pasabag Valley and finished the tour, which took 1 hour, so the timing was just right.

Smurf Village in Turkey, Pasabag Valley 💕
It is called Smurf Village and it was very nice to visit once. It takes 30-40 minutes to walk around once, and there were two very good photo spots.
As you walk along the Pasabag Valley, you can find small caves and chapels made in the rocks. It is said that this is where monks actually lived, so it was a chance to catch a glimpse of their lives.
If you like taking pictures, this is heaven. Especially during sunrise or sunset, the light and shadows come together to create a fantastic scene.

Recommended tourist destination 15 minutes from Goreme, Pasabag Valley 🫢
One of the most impressive places in Cappadocia was Pasabag Valley. It is located about 15 minutes by car from Goreme, so it is easily accessible.
The 'fairy chimneys' here are truly unique. The mushroom-shaped rocks form a cluster, giving the impression of being from another planet. Some of the rocks have three 'heads', making them even more unique.
The entrance fee is about 12 euros, and it will be even more fulfilling if you visit it together with the nearby Zelve Open-Air Museum.
If you want to feel the true nature of Cappadocia, Pasabag Valley is a must-visit place.

Everywhere is green. The view is wonderful.
There used to be picnic tables, now there aren’t. People sit on the ground. It’s fun to watch and feed the geese swimming in the river. We cross the swinging footbridge, walk along the riverbank and then return from the bridge below. There are cafes. There’s a gondola ride. Everywhere is green. The view is wonderful.

✨Must-see attractions in Avanos✨
This park, located on the banks of the Kızılırmak River, is a great option for those who want to have a pleasant time surrounded by nature. It is beautifully designed with walking paths, bicycle tracks and sitting areas. Walking by the river and relaxing with the sound of birds is truly peaceful.
There are also playgrounds for children in the park, making it an ideal place for families. You can also enjoy the view while having a drink at the surrounding cafes. It takes on a more romantic atmosphere with its lighting in the evenings.
A quiet and enjoyable spot that must be visited by those visiting Avanos!

Avanos, a city with a great atmosphere. Entrance to the old town.
Avanos. This is the entrance to the old town, and the atmosphere here itself is good.
There is a coffee souvenir shop at the entrance, so it was nice to walk around and look around.
The view was pretty even when I entered from the entrance to the old town and looked toward the mosque. Avanos has a different atmosphere from Goreme, so I stopped by on a day trip and was satisfied.

[Turkiye🇹🇷] A small and beautiful town with the “Kizilurmak River” flowing through it
Avanos is a small city in Turkey, a small and beautiful town where the longest river in Turkey, the “Kizilurmak River”, flows.
When you think of handicrafts, beautiful life, and beautiful people, Avanos is the only place that comes to mind. It is a special place because it has been producing pottery from the clay of the Kizilurmak River for centuries since the ancient Hittite era.
In the town, you can see pottery workshops and pottery artists making uniquely shaped pottery.
Also, you can feel the peaceful atmosphere of Avanos town along the Avanos Şehitleri Anıtı, so be sure to visit~!

If you want to experience pottery making or watch it being made when you go to Cappadocia, I recommend you go to Avanos. You can also add color to your trip by enjoying a nice walk along the Bayrak Tepe✨
I can say that it is the most beautiful district of Nevşehir. Of course, you should see it when you come.

Fairy Chimneys in Cappadocia, Turkey
Turkey is a country full of exotic charm and breathtaking natural landscapes. During this visit to the Mushroom Valley/Fairy Chimneys in Cappadocia, the stunning scenery left me in awe. Countless mushroom-shaped houses spread out before my eyes, which were historically homes for the upper class in ancient Turkey. These mushroom houses were formed naturally through volcanic eruptions and erosion by wind and weather over time. No matter the angle, every photo taken here looks like a painting. The area is quite expansive, requiring an entrance ticket, and the visit typically takes about an hour.
