Amazing! Swim with wild whale sharks
Flights and hotels to Cebu Island
Reservations for safe and secure whale shark optional tours are also recommended by trip.com
I love it so much that I've been there three times, and it's an unforgettable place in the Philippines 🇵🇭 Oslob in Cebu Island is the only place in the world that has successfully fed wild whale sharks, so there is a very high chance of meeting a wild whale shark! By the way, they lure them with whale sharks' favorite food, krill, as bait. It takes courage, but I'll introduce you to some cheap ways to go and travel necessities, so please take a look 🦈✨‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥[Places I've been]・Oslob Whale Shark Watching Location: Oslob Whale Shark Watching Address: F97H+9W, Natalio Bacalso Avenue, Oslob, 6023 Cebu, Philippines Opening hours: 06:00-12:00 Open every day
・Sumilon Island This is by far the best beach I've ever been to 🥇 It's designated as a marine protected area with the highest visibility in Cebu, so you can see coral reefs and tropical fish... [Procedure after arriving] 1. Decide on a plan and pay inside the building (credit cards accepted) We chose the Whale Shark Watching & Sumilon Snorkeling plan 2. Explanation of activities and warnings It's in English, but there are pictures in the pamphlet so you should be able to understand it. Important: Sunscreen is prohibited out of consideration for the ecosystem and environment 3. Change clothes, put on a life jacket, and get fins, goggles, and snorkel set (lockers available) 4. Board a small boat and depart. You'll soon see a rock-like whale shark 5. Start snorkeling. About 20 minutes 6. Return and have lunch (Lunch box and drinks) ⑦ Head to Sumilon Island - 30 minutes on the covered jet ski ⑧ Free time after arrival - You can snorkel or go ashore on the island and take photos from the high ground - Stay for approximately 1 hour ⑨ Return by jet ski, return equipment, change clothes (cold shower) and head home ...☑︎NotesThis is such a popular activity that if there is a long queue, you may have to wait for up to 3 hours. The best thing to do is to go first thing in the morning...☑︎Things to bring・Cash (for bus fare and drinks), credit cards accepted for tour fares・Swimsuit・Sandals・Bath towel・Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, etc.)・Cooling protection (jacket, etc.)💡[Useful to have]・A rash guard as the sun is strong・Waterproof underwater cover for your smartphone・A folding umbrella for protection against showers... [Schedule for the day] 03:00 Departure from Marco Polo Hotel ↓ Grab taxi 03:10 Purchase tickets at the ticket booth while arriving at South Bus Terminal Tell them "Oslob" Buses run every 30 minutes, but there was a delay on this day, so we were lucky to leave immediately Air-conditioned bus fare 200 pesos (local currency only) 03:15 Departure from express bus When the bus departs, a staff member will come around to check the ticket, so be sure to tell them "Oslob Whale Shark"! ➡️ This is important! We overslept, and when we realized it, we had arrived in Oslob, and a staff member came to wake us up 🤣 It was extremely cold inside the bus, so we needed to take measures against the cold! Arrived in Oslob at 06:30 There was already a pretty big crowd Enjoyed two activities, whale shark watching & Sumilon snorkeling, and finished everything Around 11:00 11:20 Departure from Oslob bus 15:00 Arrived in Cebu city (there was traffic on the return trip) It was an extremely early departure, but thanks to that we arrived early and were able to enjoy the activities smoothly. We got back to Cebu pretty quickly, so we were able to enjoy a massage, dinner, and shopping☺️‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥ [Actual experience]・People say not to get too close when snorkeling with whale sharks, but the whale sharks just come to you without you doing anything lol. Thanks to that, I was able to take some impressive photos up close! Not just one, but lots of whale sharks! ・The weather is cloudy and sunny and changes frequently・There are safe and secure transportation & Japanese guided tours, but it's a really special price to go on your own, so I always go on my own. ‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥ [Basic information on Cebu]① Less than 4 hours by plane from Japan. There are direct flights from Narita Airport, Kansai International Airport, and Chubu Centrair International Airport, or you can get there cheaply by taking a flight via an overseas airport.② Seasons and climate: Dry season is from December to May, rainy season is from June to November. It rains a lot, but there are many short showers, so you can enjoy sightseeing and activities.③ Safety: Relatively safe. But be careful when going out at night.④ Prices: About 1/3 of Japan's.⑤ Hotels: Hotels in Cebu City are affordable, but resort hotels are the mainstay on Mactan Island.⑥ Taxis are a convenient way to get around, and they're cheap! Be angry and protest against rip-offs! It's a good idea to download the ride-hailing app Grab⑦No tipping culture⑧We recommend buying mineral water‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥‥[Things you should definitely do in Cebu]🏝️Diving, island hopping and other activities at low prices!🏝️High quality massages at low prices🏝️Visit the Chocolate Hills of Mount Pokopoko in Bohol and meet the world's smallest spectacled monkey, Tasha🏝️Dokin-chan? Jollibee's chicken, a fast food restaurant with a mascot like this 🍗 is crispy and delicious...
