Auschwitz concentration camp is in Poland, a few hours away from Krakow, making it a good day trip. It is the largest concentration camp during Nazi with over millions of Jews killed.
Seeing Auschwitz concentration camp is a profoundly moving and difficult experience. As one of the most notorious sites of Nazi atrocities during World War II, the camp serves as a reminder of the horrors of the Holocaust.
You can join a tour to look around the camp, including the barracks, gas chambers, and crematoria, as well as view exhibits and artifacts documenting the experiences of prisoners.
The experience can be emotionally overwhelming. But this is actually an important opportunity to learn about the past! Definitely worth a visit! #poland

Entering Auschwitz: A heart-wrenching journey
Auschwitz concentration camp is a heartbreaking historical memory. Walking into this land in person, you can feel the heavy and depressing atmosphere, as if every wall is whispering about the sufferings of the past. Looking at the belongings left behind by thousands of innocent people who lost their freedom and lives, I deeply realized the preciousness of peace. This is not only a commemoration of history, but also a warning to human nature. Every step reminds us: tragedy must not happen again, respect and understanding are more important than ever. Auschwitz is a soul-stirring journey.

Birkenau II Camp
We arrived at Birkenau II after a 10-minute free shuttle bus ride from the Auschwitz Museum.
This place is much larger than the Auschwitz Museum, and the railway used to transport the Jews is still there.
There are a number of hut-like buildings lined up, each with beds and toilets, but it is heartbreaking to think of the conditions at the time, with eight people crammed into one sleeping space, and people having to endure drafty conditions and temperatures of minus 20°C in winter.
There are also gas chambers used for mass murder, but the remains of the gas chambers and the remains of bodies buried there by the Germans, who tried to destroy evidence when defeat was imminent, remain vividly.
Aschwitz is in a better condition, so it would be interesting to compare the two.
If you want to take your time, it will take about a day because the facility is so large.
