The Island provides a great atmosphere in the middle of Pigeon Forge for families to come and enjoy shopping, food, entertainment, and now Moonshine. Our product is made in house and our working still is visible for anyone who likes to see moonshine being made. We offer samples of our moonshine to make sure you like it before you buy it. Some of our products we offer are our Original Moonshine as well as White Lightnin, Moonshine Cherries, Apple Pie, Blackberry, Peach, Hunch Punch, Blue Flame, and several seasonal flavors that will change often. We also offer shirts, hats, glassware, and lots of food products such as BBQ Sauces, Salsas, Jams, Jellies, Butters, and more which are made with our shine as well. We offer live bluegrass music daily on our outdoor stage. The itinerary was mainly based on the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea in winter, so we did not arrange a self-driving trip on D400, and naturally we also gave up the towns of Fethiye and Kaş. Considering that Istanbul Airport was far away, I flew directly to Izmir after entering the country. All four domestic legs were flights. Fortunately, except for the last leg which was delayed for more than an hour, there were no overbooking or cancellations as I had seen in the guidebook. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Tickets are only accepted in lira, in cash or by card. I only used some Euros to buy things at Istanbul Airport. 4️⃣I rented a car from Sixt in Izmir and Kayseri. It was a good experience with no problems. Just be aware that there are two parking buildings at Izmir Airport. When renting a car, you must ask which parking building to return the car to. It is like a maze inside and is not easy to find. 5️⃣ Common supermarkets include Sok, BIM, A101, and Migros. If you see them, you can go in and buy supplies. You can also buy souvenir snacks, chocolates, etc. in these supermarkets. 🌡️ Temperature and outfit In mid-to-late January, Izmir and Antalya are around 10 degrees, so thick sweatshirts and coats are enough. Istanbul is 7-8 degrees and windy, so you need to wear a hat when taking a boat. Goreme is a bit colder, around 0 degrees, so a down jacket will do, but it won’t feel as cold as Beijing. I had been down in the dumps and not acting myself for about a month and my best friend had noticed the change in my behavior (I am one to be on the go constantly). To cheer me up she invited me to go on vacation (FREE) with her and her family. It was such an amazing time and so refreshing! We spent our first week in Tennessee at a gorgeous Airbnb surrounded by woods and nature trails! In town we visited so many amazing places, rode a coaster and lift chair to the top of the mountain and down!!! It was so beautiful! Our second week we spent in Myrtle Beach and stayed in a hotel right on the ocean! Our view was amazing!! One of my favorite parts was sitting on the balcony of my hotel room sipping my morning coffee and watching the dolphins out in the ocean. BUT to make my vacation MOST MEMORABLE is my best friend took a pregnancy test while we were on vacation and it was POSITIVE!!! I had the privilege to be the first and only person to know this for two months (and let me tell you it was so hard to keep that secret)

We own a handyman business and a customer needed some work done on her home but she was staying out of state with her sick brother and needed to get the money to us for supplies. So we decided to make a short vacation and stay at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee 4 hours from where we live. We have been here before but we had a great time. There is so much to do here and not enough time to do it all.

My mother has suffered with illness & bad health for a number of years. She hasn’t been back to the Smoky Mtns. for a number of years now; and rarely able to leave her home. We decided that she needed a Girls Trip; we needed to get MiMi away from the house for a few days. It has been such a wonderful, memory making trip. My Mom, myself & my daughter and we have laughed ourselves silly! So thankful for the beautiful scenery & leaves changing and all the memories we are making together!
