Explore Baizhangji Waterfall in Wenzhou: A fairyland of waterfalls hidden in southern Zhejiang
1. Baizhangji Waterfall Overview
Baizhangji Waterfall is located at an altitude of 300–638 meters, with a stream length of 1,200 meters, a depth of about 3 kilometers, and a drop of 353 meters, forming a stepped waterfall group of "one waterfall 100 meters high, two waterfalls 100 meters deep, and three waterfalls 100 meters wide." Among them, Baizhangji Waterfall is the highest single waterfall in China, with a height of 207 meters and a width of more than 30 meters. Together with the Liuji Temple, it forms the Liu Bowen's Hometown Scenic Area, which Liu Bowen once praised in a poem.
2. Basic Information
Address: Huangzhuang Village, Baizhangji Town, Wencheng County, Wenzhou, Zhejiang.
Transportation: Self-driving is recommended, and there is a parking lot in the scenic area; you can also take a high-speed train to Wenzhou South Station and then transfer to the scenic area.

3. Itinerary (Easy Version)
Enter from the north gate, and you can choose to walk 20 minutes down the mountain or take the elevator directly to the first waterfall for CNY 20. After admiring the spectacular first waterfall, take the mountain road to the second waterfall, and remember to wear a raincoat when passing through the Water Curtain Cave. Then take photos at the second waterfall viewing platform, and then go to the third waterfall, where you can take a panoramic photo of Baizhangji Waterfall. After arriving at the south gate, take the shuttle bus for CNY 10 to return to the north gate.
4. Tips
The north gate is where vehicles are parked, and it is easier to visit from the top of the mountain to the bottom. You can take the elevator with the elderly and children.
The first waterfall is magnificent, and the pavilion below is the best viewing point, but be careful of slipping and wind.
The Water Curtain Cave of the second waterfall will definitely get you wet, so prepare a raincoat in advance; the viewing platform is great for taking photos, and there is a hair dryer nearby.
You can take panoramic photos on the way to the third waterfall, accompanied by small waterfalls, red maples, carp, and bamboo forests.
You can see the panoramic view of Baizhangji Waterfall on the shuttle bus; there is a helicopter project at the north gate, CNY 398/person, flying for 4 minutes.
You can prepare an extra set of clothes, and your clothes can basically be air-dried during the trip.
