This is the morning I was leaving my B&B in Montenegro, Balkan Peninsula, driving to the Black Lake The heavy snow is already beautiful, and we also welcome unexpected visitors🐶

On the way to Kotor, Montenegro, you'll first encounter this forest, surrounded by emerald green lake water. This is Durmitor National Park. Durmitor National Park, a World Heritage Site in northwestern Montenegro, is renowned for its magnificent glacial landscapes, primeval forests, and rich biodiversity. 📍📍Location: Situated in the Dinaric Alps of northwestern Montenegro, covering an area of 350 square kilometers. It encompasses Durmitor Peak (2,522 meters above sea level, Montenegro's highest peak), the Tara River Canyon (Europe's deepest canyon at 1,300 meters deep), and 18 glacial lakes. 🍓🍓Flora: Home to over 1,500 plant species, including Europe's last primeval black pine forest (with trees up to 400 years old). 🐶🐶Fauna: It's said that rare species such as brown bears, wolves, chamois, and salmon also inhabit this area. 🛥️🛥️First, this is called the Black Lake (Crno Jezero). It is the largest glacial lake in the park, consisting of two connected lakes. During summer, when the water level drops, they separate, and in autumn, they merge into one. After parking, walk straight along the forest road for about 20 minutes, and you'll be greeted by a breathtaking sight: the endless expanse of green water is truly refreshing. Everyone who comes to Durmitor National Park can walk around the Black Lake or hike on the trails inside. There is only one main road in the whole town of Zabljak. If you go straight along the main road, you will reach the Black Lake in less than an hour. We stayed in Zabliak and took taxis back and forth. Both the Black Mountain and the Black Lake are dark in color😍, but they do not give people any sense of oppression😘, adding some mystery.
