#AprilGoodDestinations2025 We visited the Sun Yat-sen Penang Base Memorial Hall "Yu Rong Zhuang" located at 120 Ta Tong Street, where Sun Yat-sen stayed in Penang when he was raising funds in Southeast Asia. It was also the base that facilitated the success of the Father of the Nation's ten revolutions. The uprising of the "Xinhai Revolution" was planned in this small house in Penang, which is of great historical significance. This street house "Yu Rong Zhuang" was built around 1880. It is an architectural style popular during the British Straits Settlement period. The first floor is a shop and the second floor is a residence. It is a model of merchant residence. The house is long and narrow with three paths in total. Between each path there is a small patio garden for gathering wealth and energy. There are air vents for ventilation, exquisite solid wood stairs, floor tiles with beautiful patterns, old switches on the wall, and a traditional Nyonya kitchen, which has a very quaint flavor. The ticket for the Sun Yat-sen Penang Memorial Hall is RM10. It is strongly recommended to take a guided tour. It makes a real difference with the explanation, allowing people to better understand what happened in Nanyang during Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary era. As soon as I entered the courtyard, I saw a standalone Western-style house. The interior decoration is warm-toned, cozy and very unique. The entrance is covered with photos of various celebrities checking in. Inside the entrance, the place was packed, and there were only a few bagels left at the door. I had done my research beforehand and planned to have a beef patty bagel🥯. Unfortunately, it was too late and it wasn't on the menu anymore. My partner ordered a sesame bagel, which was delicious even on its own.

This trip, we actually intended to find a lovely, quiet homestay to stay for a night or two. Then we found Urban Designer Collection at Lebuh Melaka. The room was better than expected. It was clean and decorated very cutely. It came in a minimalist blue-purple theme. We booked through the Trip.com app for 650 baht per night (booked in March). We chose a Queen Room, External Facing Window, Private Separate Bathroom. It was a queen-sized single bed room decorated in a minimalist style. It was so cute that we could scream. Just taking pictures in the room, we got a lot of pictures. There was a small window that was a skylight, not a large one to look at the view. There was a table and chair for those who brought work, or to sit and edit photos or write on an iPad. It was very convenient. The room had everything: air conditioning, hot water, a hair dryer, shampoo and shower gel, towels. Most importantly, it had a private bathroom. The bed was very soft. The cloud-shaped pillow was very soft. We hugged it the whole time and no one would take it. We slept so well that we almost didn't want to wake up. In the common area, there was a mini bar with a sink. There were plates, spoons, glasses, and a water filter to get cold water. If you buy food to eat, you can sit here. There is a washing machine, dryer, and iron at the back. Traveling is easy. Call Grab from the ferry terminal for about 5 minutes. The fare is about 5 ringgit. It may be a bit far from the George Town or Street Art zone, but if you usually call Grab, it's not a problem. The fare is about 5 ringgit. As for checking in before the travel date, the homestay will send a manual to the email used for booking. Enter the entrance code and walk to receive the room key card in the box according to the room number. There is no reception. It is very suitable for introverts. Overall, I like it very much. I've visited Penang, Malaysia three times now. Previously, I spent my time exploring George Town, but this time I decided to head north to Batu Ferringhi. It was truly relaxing! Now I understand why my friends from Kuala Lumpur all rave about Penang! At 6:30 PM, I walked into BoraBora and was lucky enough to get a front-row seat. Around 7:15 PM, the sunset began, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. For nearly an hour, the orange hues of the sea and the evening glow blended beautifully, followed by a lively bonfire party. To sum it up: "The sea in Penang may be average, but the atmosphere is absolutely perfect!" Penang also offers plenty of attractions and local delicacies worth exploring, such as: 1. George Town: As a UNESCO World Heritage city, it boasts numerous historic buildings and street art. Every corner holds a delightful surprise waiting to be discovered. 2. Penang Bridge: Connecting Penang Island to the mainland, this bridge offers spectacular ocean views. 3. Penang Hill: From the summit, you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of Penang, especially during sunrise and sunset. 4. Fu Er Dai – The most popular dim sum that you must come early in the morning Seeing the reviews on Google Maps, I had to go and try it right away. The dumplings were amazing, full of shrimp filling, and the dough was just the right thickness. Other menus were also great, the prices were lovely, perfect for dim sum lovers. It was a trip to Penang, Malaysia 🇲🇾We kicked off our trip in Penang by exploring the vibrant streets of George Town 😍 The heritage area is filled with colorful street art, and we found it to be a photographer’s paradise 🙌 The street art here tells stories of the city’s past and offers some of the most Instagram-worthy shots. Be sure to visit the famous murals like “Children on a Bicycle” 🚲 by Ernest Zacharevic. Afterward, we wandered down to the Clan Jetties, a unique spot where wooden houses are built over the water. The sunset views over the jetties are simply stunning 💯 📍George Town, Penang We visited the Pinang Peranakan Mansion, a well-preserved heritage building that gives you a glimpse into the opulent life of the Peranakan Chinese community 👌 The intricate decorations and antique furniture make for amazing photographs 📸 We’d recommend visiting in the late morning when the light is bright, giving the interior rich detail in photos 🙌 📍29 Church Street, George Town, Penang 10200 We then took a trip to Kek Lok Si, the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia.
