21_21DESIGNSIGHT Art Museum is a design exhibition hall and workshop for curatorial planning by fashion designer Issey Miyake, graphic designer Naoto Fukasawa, visual designer Taku Sato and architect Tadao Ando. Officially opened in February 2007. The building itself was designed by Tadao Ando, and the design inspiration happened to come from Issey Miyake's design concept of "a piece of cloth", so it has become one of the "pilgrimage places" for Tadao Ando's loyal fans. The appearance of the museum is low-key and full of design, and the inverted triangular roof composed of two complete steel plates is very eye-catching. Although 70% of the building's overall space is hidden underground, the venue adopts large-scale floor-to-ceiling glass windows, which bring in a lot of natural light, making the two exhibition halls located underground bright and full of comfort. Interestingly, the "21_21" in the name of the museum comes from "20_20vision(sight)" in English, which means perfectvision. The masters hope to use the museum to help people re-examine the essence of design, pay attention to the future of design, and study the potential of design. , look at the things around you from the perspective of design, recreate them, and then show them to the public.
