We took Safari ride to visiting Herbivore zone and carnivore zone and are arranged to feed giraffe and Rhino, funny experience but bit excited. Spent 80 mins for whole ride about 1.5 km with slow speed and guided by pilot car. Pilot keeps talking to you over walkie talkie and introduce the animals along the trip. You should make reservation on their web page if you want to drive by yourself which cost you about 20,000 yen. You can also choose to ride buggy but it is allowed to visit herbivore zone only.

Adventure World has had the baby panda Kaedehama, born last year, on display since March. #themepark We recently visited the park and we enjoyed it. You can get up close with some of the animals as they are not in the cage and seems that they are used to the people around them. We also like the Kenya Train as it goes around the safari world and into the carnivore section. But if you want to get up close with the herbivore animals in the safari, try the walking safari trail. The dolphin show is also very good. There are many dolphins than we expected so my daughter really enjoyed it. One of the reason that we came was to see a real panda and we were not disappointed. It was a Panda Fes day and the park has several events regarding Pandas.

#2024wish Cool zoo with plenty to see and do. A bit too expensive and the prices inside the zoo are a bit of the high side as well. So we borrowed an animal designed kids buggy for the day but it was 1,700 yen [500 yen deposit] and then close to the food court there was a play area but you had to pay to enter and play in it. The zoo itself had a great array of animals and was well spaced out. It was easy to get up close and personal with quite a lot of the animals and see them outside of cages rather than the usual cages with bars. Also, the lighting in the penguin exhibit was...trippy.

When you come to Wakayama Shirahama, you must visit the theme parks. They have the Animal Land zoo, Panda Love panda house, Marine Wave aquarium and Play Zone amusement park. One of the things I liked most was that the place was not too crowded. And it's very close to the JR train station. It didn't take us long to visit the sights. If you drive there yourself, their parking lot is free. Because the theme park rides are not included but I recommend still spending 2000 yen to buy a free pass, it's still worth it because you don't have to wait for multiple rides. The wildlife park Safari World is also good, you can get closer to the animals, if you can walk I would recommend going for the walking route rather than taking the bus and wandering around the wildlife park.
