[The town of loyal dog Hachiko] Akita Inu no Sato, a tourist exchange facility in Odate City, Akita Prefecture
When I went back to my hometown of Akita Prefecture, I visited "Akita Inu no Sato" (Akita Dog Village)!
A bronze statue of Hachiko, the loyal dog born and raised in Odate City, welcomes you.
Hachiko, staring straight at JR Odate Station, reminds you of those days.
The blue frog outside is a train car operated by the former Tokyu Corporation (now Tokyu Corporation) from 1954 to 1986, and was also used as the Tokyu Toyoko Line connecting Shibuya and Yokohama.
It was moved here a few years ago as a symbol of further friendship with Shibuya Ward.
There is also an exhibition room for Akita dogs, where you can learn about the history of Akita dogs,
and there were many people who brought their Akita dogs for walks, so I was able to interact with them 🤍
They also sold "Masaru," an Akita dog stuffed toy sent to Russian figure skater Alina Zagitova!
In front of the parking lot, they operate a 300-meter long "hand-powered trolley" for a limited time using the abandoned Kosaka Railway line. (Available only from April to November)
It was a facility that children and families could enjoy 🙆♀️
