【Amsterdam】📍A must-try Dutch snack at Albert Cuyp Market
Albert Cuyp Market is one of the most famous open-air markets in the Netherlands, and you must try some authentic snacks here:
1. Stroopwafel
It can be said to be the most classic snack in the Netherlands, two thin slices of waffles sandwiched in the middle of hot caramel sauce 😋 There are freshly made in the market, hot and particularly fragrant, take a bite, the sweetness of caramel and the crispness of waffles perfectly combined, super delicious!
2. Kibbeling
A traditional Dutch snack, actually fried fish pieces, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, usually served with garlic sauce or tartar sauce. It’s also a good snack option when you’re tired of walking!
3. Poffertjes
The mini muffins are super cute and are usually sprinkled with powdered sugar and butter, and you can choose to add your preferred jam flavor or chocolate sauce.
4. Haring (raw herring)
If you dare to try, Dutch raw herring is a must! Locals usually cut the fish into small pieces, serve it with onions and pickles, and eat it directly with their hands. Although raw fish sounds a bit challenging, it actually doesn't taste fishy
In addition to food, the market also has other shops selling all kinds of souvenirs, postcards, cheese, coffee beans Don’t miss this place when you visit Amesterdam!

Albert Cuyp Market
The longest and oldest market in Amsterdam, surrounded by cafes and antique shops, with more than 300 shops, stretching along several blocks of Albert Cuypstraat.
The waffles here are so delicious, everyone. When you walk past, you have to stop and buy some because they smell so good you can't walk any further. They're so mouthwatering. There are also many fashion shops to choose from, with prices that are so reasonable you'll want to buy everything. 😅
The market is open from Monday to Saturday, from morning until sunset. But even if it's cold or rainy, there will always be a lot of people coming out to shop.

A city full of charm and vibrant culture 👫🎉
#europetrip
Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, is a city full of charm and vibrant culture. Known for its picturesque canals, cobblestone streets, and historic architecture, it’s a destination I dream of exploring. The iconic Anne Frank House and the masterpieces at the Van Gogh Museum captivate visitors with their history and artistry. Biking along the charming streets and crossing quaint bridges sounds delightful, offering a unique way to soak in the city’s beauty. Amsterdam’s tulip gardens, particularly Keukenhof in spring, are a feast for the eyes. The cozy cafés and bustling markets, like Albert Cuyp Market, add to its charm. I can’t wait to experience its welcoming atmosphere someday.

The Albert Cuyp Market in Amsterdam is a vibrant place that gave me a sense of local life. The market features hundreds of stalls selling fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese and a variety of gourmet foods. I especially enjoyed tasting local snacks such as Dutch pancakes and sashimi in front of the stalls, which were delicious and unforgettable.
The atmosphere in the market was lively and vendors talked enthusiastically with customers, which made me deeply appreciate the friendliness and enthusiasm of the locals. There are also many handicrafts and souvenirs here, which allow me to take back some unique memories of my trip. Albert Cuyp Market is definitely a great place to explore Amsterdam’s culture!

Sizzling and Savory: Chicken Delights at Amsterdam’s Market 🇳🇱
#traveldiaries #amsterdam
Chicken dishes rotisserie and grilled chicken, are quite popular at Amsterdam markets. Stalls selling kip satay (grilled chicken with peanut sauce) and other flavorful chicken preparations attract both locals and tourists. While stroopwafels and cheese are more iconic Dutch foods, chicken dishes at markets like Albert Cuyp and Dappermarkt are well-known for being tasty, affordable, and convenient, making them a popular choice for market-goers.
Preparation in advance:
A few euros. Don't change money at the airport. The exchange rate is very high😕. Merchants with the "UnionPay" logo can use UnionPay cards. I usually use all-currency cards.
Power bank, data cable, camera backup battery, etc.
European standard conversion plug, travel power strip (hotel plugs are few).
Apple comes with a map. Put the attractions of interest in advance into the favorites. After sorting by distance, you can travel freely without going the wrong way😜
Two-day/three-day/one-day tour in Amsterdam👇
▶ Two-day tour:
Day 1:
Riksmuseum: Appreciate famous paintings such as "The Milkmaid".
Van Gogh Museum: Learn about Van Gogh's creation story.
Dam Square + Koninklik Paleis Amsterdam: Taste the Internet celebrity fries and van der linde's cream ice cream on the way😋.
Madame Tussaud's Amsterdam: See the wax figures of celebrities.
Day 2: Bloemenmarkt: Visit the floating flower market and buy beautiful souvenirs🎁. Albert Cuyp Market: Feel the lively atmosphere of the open-air flea market~ Canal Cruise: Enjoy the comfort of the locals and enjoy the canal scenery🌅. Red light districts: Go to the charming red light districts around 8 pm. ▶ Three-day tour: Day 3: Zaandam: Take the train to Zaandam and enjoy the town scenery🏘. Windmill town Zaandik Zaanse Schans: Take the train to the windmill town and enjoy the traditional windmills🎡. ▶ One-day tour: Morning: Visit two museums, such as the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum😃 Afternoon: Go to Dam Square, the Royal Palace of the Netherlands, the flower market and the flea market in the city center😉. ◎Overall experience:
The transportation here is very convenient. You can buy various combination discount tickets by swiping a card, such as two-hour tickets, one-day tickets, round-trip tickets, etc. You can choose the most cost-effective one according to your needs👍
The people here are relatively cool. Don't go to the popular restaurant seafood bar again. I will never go there again after eating twice. A seafood platter for four people plus a few bottles of drinks costs more than 1k RMB. The seafood is fresh but very small, and there is no cost-effectiveness. If you want to buy Miffy Rabbit, a specialty of the Netherlands, don't buy it at the airport. The price is at least 20% more expensive than in the city.
Before leaving for the return trip, don't forget to go to the terminal to see the very special clock with a person in it~😃

Rudi's Original Stroopwafels: A stroopwafel shop in Amsterdam where customers line up
I went to Rudi’s Original Stroopwafels, a stroopwafel shop in Amsterdam where people always line up.
Stroopwafels, a Dutch specialty, are a delicious treat with a thin, crispy dough sandwiched between thick syrup.
This shop is so popular that there is always a line, and the food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the customer service from the staff is great, so I recommend it ^_^
It is located inside the Albert Quip Market, so there are other shops where you can eat while walking around and souvenir shops, so it is a spot you should definitely stop by when you visit Amsterdam.
