Like many royal palaces in Andalusia, the Royal Palace in Córdoba was a castle for centuries. The Islamic caliphs and Christian kings have lived here, Fernando III planned a fatal blow to Granada here, and Columbus also met the Catholic twin kings here for support. The palace as a whole is a square courtyard, surrounded by high walls and towers that are indestructible, but outside the high walls is a beautiful garden, which is a popular place to play every year at the courtyard festival. The most worthwhile visit in the castle is a group of mosaics from the Roman era.

The tranquil yet gorgeous palace
Andalusia Tour ~ Córdoba
It was once an official royal residence, but is not as impressive as other castles in Spain. First you can see some Roman mosaics, which are well preserved on the walls of the gallery. You can climb the walls and towers to admire Córdoba’s skyline. Although the line to enter the tower was long, it moved quickly. Finally, take a stroll among the orange trees and pools. There are few flowers and it may be too hot for them, but the whole garden has a peaceful atmosphere.

Unbearable cold? Then fly to warm spring-like Córdoba! ✈️It is located in southern Spain, and even in December, the highest temperature can reach above 15℃. It’s the off-season for tourism, so it’s a good time to discover this heritage city.
Located in the Andalusia region where diverse cultures meet, Cordoba’s first gift is the numerous historic monuments. Landmark buildings: Mosque-Cathedral (Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba, P2-3), Cordoba Palace (Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, P4), Viana Palace (Palacio de Viana, P5-6)... Go slow, these spectacular yet exquisite buildings are worth exploring.
Once your wandering is over, it’s time to enjoy another treat this city has to offer. Authentic flamenco performances, special Andalusian cuisine... Go to the old town of Cordoba (P7-9), they are all waiting for you hidden in the streets and alleys.

One of the 15 heritage cities in Spain - Cordoba
Cordoba, one of the 15 heritage cities in Spain. Its old town is full of alleys to explore, courtyards full of flowers, charming squares and lively taverns, where you can enjoy wonderful flamenco performances.
The famous Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba (Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba) here is a masterpiece of Muslim architecture, where grandeur and simplicity coexist. The courtyards and gardens of the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos in Cordoba are in the Mudejar style, and the four towers of the Dove Tower, Memorial Tower, Lion Tower and Tribunal Tower form a square, protecting the entire palace.

"Cordoba Palace: Visiting one of the filming locations of Game of Thrones"
Visit one of the filming locations of Game of Thrones, which was also the residence of the double kings who rewrote Spanish history. 👑👑
In the garden of the palace, three rectangular pools with varying elevations are arranged in a consistent manner. Tall trees 🌲 and colorful flowers 🌼🌹🌷🌸 stand side by side, and when viewed from above, the landscape of the garden is very beautiful and exquisite.
Here, two and a half hours passed by accident. Cordoba Palace.

A place of tranquility in the city!
This really is definitely worth a visit. Entrance cost December 2022 was €5. I'd recommend it in the late afternoon, when it's less crowded and you'll catch the setting sun's rays striking the fortress to give the stone a wonderful soft, warm glow. When you first enter go straight up to the very top of the tower which will give you a sweeping view over the whole layout of the fortress. You may even get to see the horses practicing in the nearby equestrian centre!👍

Alcazar Ca
Alcazar Castle was built in the 13th century as the palace and fortress of Alfonso X. The Christian King's Castle is a square courtyard. The castle looks very strong, and the surrounding walls and towers are indestructible. The castle building is divided into three floors, the upper level is the royal palace, the middle is the outbuilding and the small mosque, and the lower level is the garden. Board the narrow spiral staircase of the tower to the roof terrace, where you can see the beautiful gardens under the castle and the cityscape of Crdoba.
In the Alcazar, you can feel the shadow of the Alhambra. There are similarities in the name of the courtyard. There are also the Lion Park, the Girl Garden and the Carlos Palace.
