This Alchemist outlet is hidden in a fortified gothic building. To go with the gothic architecture of the building, the seating area of the café is also done up in the gothic style, while the counter and brewing area is in the more familiar brutalist style that Alchemist usually does. The menu is simple - black, white, chocolate, filter, iced or hot. They serve 2 espresso bean options - the usual Dark Matter, Brazil & Colombia mix & Don Alfonso, a Costa Rico mix. The white with Dark Matter brings out the chocolate-y notes of the beans, with a caramel-like sweet ending notes, which makes it easy on the palate. The price was surprisingly very affordable. Minimalist, open-air, and full of Muji vibes, it’s the perfect spot to recharge—whether you’re flying solo or catching up with friends. Their iced white ($5.50) is a dream—creamy, nutty, and refreshing without being too heavy. If you prefer something bold, the espresso ($4) delivers fruity acidity in a smooth, satisfying shot. Pair your brew with one of their pastries—I loved the Yuzu Lemon Danish for its buttery layers and bright citrus curd, and the Raspberry Pistachio Cruffin was a rich, nutty delight. Alchemist in Singapore is a popular coffee specialty store. The store in Khong Guan Building in the Tai Seng district is a stylish cafe that has been renovated from a former biscuit factory. This is a cafe where you can feel the consistent attention to detail from roasting to brewing ☕️ The interior was also very attentive, so I was able to spend a relaxing time there. Their signature blend, Dark Matter, is characterized by its chocolate-like depth and aroma, and goes well with milk, making it very delicious. Their baked goods, such as Danish pastries that combine pistachios and raspberries, are also popular. If you’ve been to Design Orchard, you would know that there’s a hidden café by 𝗔𝗹𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁 right at the top. Earlier this month, to everyone’s dismay, the popular coffee chain has decided to close the outlet. However, they were planning to reopen just right across the road in a more visible space. 👏🏻 Alchemist has reopened their Somerset outlet at the outdoor dining area of The Heeren where Tsui Wah used to occupy. Designed by @wynk_collaborative, their new space takes on a different approach than their other outlets, full of wooden fixtures all around. Unfortunately, there’s no air-conditioning, but it feels like the ceiling fans are helping with the summer heat. 🥵 #singaporetrip#food

#familytrips2024 Alchemist The Heeren is one of the few nice strong batista coffees in Orchard, they use very good beans combined with perfectly pulled espresso shots. Located on the heart of Orchard Road, make it easy to reach. It has a very nice and cozy environment. The cafe layout is very aesthetically pleasing. Nice and relaxing, breezy thanks to the many fans despite not having air-conditioning.
