I made an appointment with a group of good friends to go to Alva House inside ALVA HOTEL BY ROYAL for a buffet. The theme of this issue is "Cantonese. Taste. Eat" seafood. There are seafood and special Chinese dishes that I like, which will definitely whet my appetite.
As soon as you step into the restaurant, you will find the dessert counter, where a wide variety of colorful desserts are displayed before your eyes. There are so many styles and the quality is also quite good. Those who love sweets will definitely go home with a full stomach.
This dessert cabinet contains mango Napoleon cake, caramel banana chocolate cake, durian pandan mousse cake, Italian cheese cake, snow fungus ice flower stewed egg white, blueberry cheese cake, butterfly pea flower jelly, raspberry chocolate cake and oolong tea agar-agar cheese milk cap.
The freezer on this side has pandan cake, durian egg rolls, rose and cranberry cake, vanilla mango passion fruit mousse cake, pandan durian cake, Earl Grey Opera Cake, lychee jelly and durian milk jelly. The two dessert cabinets alone are enough to make you overwhelmed.
Walking forward to the dessert area, the most eye-catching thing is definitely the sparrow-shaped Thousand Layer Mala Cake, followed by mango sago pudding, Lotus caramel biscuit coffee cheesecake, fresh mixed fruit Thousand Layer Puff Pastry, caramel custard, bread pudding and fried durian pastry, and finally the hot and spicy rock sugar stewed papaya and snow fungus syrup.
As for the types of ice cream, there are so many choices! First, let me introduce the rare homemade Italian ice cream in the market. The flavors include my favorite durian ice cream, as well as tangerine peel and ginger ice cream, apple hawthorn sorbet and mandarin orange sorbet. Each flavor is very unique, and I decided to save space to enjoy them all.

Arriving at the appetizer area, the first thing to be served is a series of super fresh fruits! We were so happy to have all-you-can-eat cherries, which is rarely available in buffets this evening. The salad bar area doesn't have many choices! But the salads are very fresh and there are also a variety of olive oils and sauces available.
There are four types of ready-made salads to choose from, including fresh mixed fruit salad, crab meat, mango and avocado salad, jellyfish and shredded chicken salad, and Thai chicken feet salad.
There are also air-dried ham, cheese platters, various cold cuts and smoked salmon.
This is the seafood and Japanese counter! There are several chefs serving customers, so there is no need to queue up to get sashimi or oysters.
The lineup of iced seafood is very strong! There are lobsters, mussels, shrimps, emerald snails, king crabs, blue mussels and crab legs. As a seafood lover, I was immediately attracted by them when I saw them.
In addition, there is a supply of freshly opened oysters, which you can take and eat as much as you want. It is so easy for oyster fans to make a profit!
Along this area, I discovered my favorite Japanese appetizers, snail meat and sesame octopus. These two Japanese appetizers will always be my favorite delicacies.
As for the sashimi section, there are also many choices! Among them are octopus, hamachi, Argentine red shrimp, salmon, tuna, sea bream, sashimi and scallops. I really like that the sashimi here is not cut and served, but is cut and served to customers after they come and order. It is hygienic and safe to eat.

When we arrived at the Chinese food area, the first thing we had was the hot and spicy Chinese soup. The one served today was the dried vegetable soup that I hadn’t had in a long time.
So happy to see that the buffet has xiao long bao! This crab meat dumplings are so tempting.
Continue with my most recommended dish: Mini Buddha Jumps Over the Wall! Each cup is hot and spicy and super filling. Friends with big appetites really need to drink a few more cups.
The following Chinese delicacies included Peking duck, Chinese roast suckling pig, braised tofu, spiced beef tendon, Hainanese chicken rice, pork trotter with ginger, pan-fried fish fillet, Hangzhou spare ribs, fish maw, abalone and conch slices, and boiled grouper slices. There was such a wide variety of choices and I took a fancy to the pork trotter with ginger and Peking duck.
Friends who like to eat porridge and noodles should patronize the Shenggun Porridge Stall, which has a variety of ingredients to go with the smooth and delicious porridge. There is also instant noodles with customizable ingredients. You can choose how full you want.
Because it is a Chinese theme, there is less Western food! But the buffet's must-have roast beef will still be served, as well as the intricately crafted beef Wellington.
There are also roasted lamb shanks, pork neck, black truffle corn cakes, rolls, tomato soup, cream mussels, red wine oxtail, seafood pasta and pumpkin and crab risotto.
The beverage area is equipped with hot water, hot black tea, iced lemon black tea, sugar-free iced lemon black tea and self-service coffee machines, so you have a lot of freedom to choose what you like to drink.

Order one piece of each sashimi to taste! The hamachi is rich in fish oil and smooth, the rice clams are soft and full of flavor, and there are also super large fresh Argentinian red shrimps that are soft and sweet. You must encore it.
All the chilled seafood is very fresh and delicious! First, I tasted the fresh and chewy lobster and the crab legs full of seawater flavor, but my favorite was definitely the rich crab roe in the brown crab shell. The sweet and delicious taste was definitely the axis of evil.

After enjoying the rich and excellent appetizers and first courses, we came to taste today's theme Chinese cuisine.
First, have a bowl of Buddha Jumps Over the Wall to warm your stomach! When you open the pot, the hot aroma hits your nose. The fragrant stew contains abalone, fish maw, flower mushroom, bamboo fungus and red meat. A sip of the hot soup is fragrant, delicious, nourishing and very comfortable.
The crab meat dumplings were very filling! It is really great for those who love this product to be able to eat unlimited amounts.
Come and have a piece of Peking duck too! The sweet and fragrant roast duck meat is accompanied by various ingredients, and the Peking duck sauce brings out the fascinating flavor.
The pork trotter ginger here may not look impressive but it actually tastes very pure and fragrant, with just the right sweet and sour taste. The pork trotter is also stewed to be chewy and delicious.
The seared foie gras was done perfectly! It's crispy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside. Don't worry about your cholesterol and eat as much as you want.
My friend happily shared this big plate of delicious food. The Japanese skewers of chicken kidney were super chewy and tasty, while the mushrooms and okra were healthy and delicious.
