#tripblazers During my stay at the Amara Singapore Hotel, I had booked a Club Room with the expectation of enjoying the lounge. Unfortunately, the lounge was closed, and we were redirected to the Element Restaurant. There, we experienced an old-school afternoon tea and evening canapés. While the food quality was acceptable, the service left something to be desired and did not quite meet the standards of other hotel lounges. However, it's worth noting that the hotel did make a service recovery effort by offering a cake, which was a thoughtful gesture to make up for the inconvenience. Despite the hiccups, it was a stay that showcased the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction.

165 Tangong Pagar Rd, Singapore 088539 I am deeply in love with the swimming pool at the Amara Singapore hotel. The pool was huge and spacious. They do have an adults pool with a height of 1 meter to 1.4 meters. They also have a smaller pool that are caterers to the kids. The water level is below 1 meter. There is no lifeguard on duty. Hence you have to be careful when swimming alone. There are towels provided at the side. There are also lots of seat for you to lie down and do your sun tanning. #muststay - Amara Hotel was a hotel that I stayed twice in 2019 to celebrate Christmas and birthday! Their breakfast spread was amazing and we enjoyed the mix of western + Nasi lemak with bacon the most. On birthdays, they try their best to offer complimentary upgrade but even without, all of their rooms do come with a bath tub that’s good for soaking! The rates for two nights were great as well, the bed was comfy as well and the location is near to many good food :) The hotel also provided ice and other assistance from storing my birthday cake to my Xmas log cake and sake, so I truly appreciated their service. The room is quite spacious but their double bed is two single join together, bathtub is small. normal swimming pool without jacuzzi. location is great at the heart of Tanjong Katong. Easy and convenient to nice food and chill place.

Hotel location is convenient with many eateries around . MRT station is just behind the hotel and 1 minute walk away. Amara Singapore 165 Tg Pagar Rd, Singapore 088539 Had my isolation stay here . Room was huge and I had a great isolation period without feeling stuck . I got a high floor too and the view was nice and peaceful . Staff are friendly and checking in to see if I am feeling ok. I order grab delivery and staff send the food up to me super fast . The location of this hotel is 5 star as well. MRT is just across the road and shopping mall and supermarket is just right below. Room price for all the above mentioned is worth it. If there was one thing it would be the pillow. It was too soft it did not have any shape . Was hard to sleep on .

Before coming here, I had my reservations as I read many negative reviews - especially pertaining the waiting time and the condition of the room. But to my surprise, the check-in process was really smooth and quick. No queues at all even on a Friday. So yay for me! In fact, I got upgraded. But I must say, the card readers at the lift are a bit old and need to be updated as it’s either not working or there are tapes around it. I didn’t expect anything much from this hotel and I was right. It wasn’t the cleanest as you can see dirty spots/dust on the ledge, desk etc. Not an issue for me as I understand that it’s been a while since this establishment went through a renovation. The place was very convenient for foodies. Just opposite you have your neighbourhood market and hawker centre, where you can get your typical local food. If you want to eat something more fancy, Tanjong Pagar district area is just 10 mins away where you can find hipster cafes in the shophouses. My favourite is 100AM mall which is accessible via the hotel! Will I come back? For the right price, yes! #staycation

Spent the weekend at Amara Singapore and it was a great short stay to recharge for another week of work! We didn’t get the Hotel breakfast or utilised much of the amenities (gym / pool etc) and spent most of our time either in the room or around the neighbourhood. The location was perfect, 15 mins bus trip to town, many cafes in walking distance and just beside 100AM shopping mall! Ambiance/Facilities - Rain shower, bathtub, TV with arm (allows easy access if plan to connect your laptop / gaming console), no coffee machine tho ☹️ Highlights - Late check out, very accessible location, plenty food options nearby, bathtub & rain shower, complimentary mini-bar. Address - Tanjong Pagar Highlights - Fantastic location with many eateries nearby Rating - 4.5* Trip.com gave a very good promotion for Amara and I quickly made a few bookings. Pre-arrival communication via both phone and email were very promptly attended to. Highlighted my concern about super long queueing for check-in especially for my elderly parents after reading lots of feedback. Was advised to come in the morning to register and wait for their phone call when the room is ready. Came at ~11:30am and was directed to the level 3 ballroom foyer. There isn’t any queue, and we were attended to immediately. Rosa Moon was very patient and explained to us the check-in system they have in place now after the previous week’s experience and feedback and assured us that we will get our room soonest possible. Since our room is not ready, we requested for a place to catch up on our work with Wi-Fi. Was offered the use of the meeting room at level 3. We went back to our car to pick up our luggage and laptop and made our way back to the Main Reception and saw Rosa at the Front Desk. She recognizes us and quickly told us that our room has been assigned and we can be issued the room access cards immediately. Wow! We are so happy! That’s just 10 mins after our registration before 12 noon. A very pleasant surprise early check-in. Upon reaching our room, it was unfortunately not cleaned up yet. I guess the previous guests have just checked out only. Called Housekeeping and was attended to fast. Told them we’ll be out for lunch and will be back by 1pm. Good job to Housekeeping. It was cleaned and everything is in order by the time we are back before 1pm. Raymond at the Concierge was very helpful too. Gave us 2 complimentary carpark coupons and told us to come back the next day for another 2 which I’m appreciative as we need to drive out twice a day. While the room is dated, we are happy that it is clean and everything is working fine. I even WFHotel during the 2 days and glad that I can connect to the tv as my 2nd work screen. Haha! Due to a small incident at the pool, we were offered complimentary breakfast with late check-out till 7pm despite it meant to be a feedback and not a complaint, hence not expecting any service recovery offer. I thanked Zul, the Banquet Operations Manager for his kind offer. He even assured me that my feedback is scheduled to be raised during the morning HOD meeting chaired by his GM. I will recommend to ask for him if you need any assistance for F&B at the hotel. I checked out feeling very happy and satisfied with the stay and I’m looking forward to the next stay on the next Labour Day holidays. Decided to book a last min staycay at the Amara hotel in Dec at year end as there was a flash sales going on. We booked the deluxe room (2 rooms) for our stay. I heard about the long queues due to the school holidays and decided to come early around 11am plus which was a great idea as we managed to get our keys around 1pm+. The location of the hotel next to 100am mall was a huge plus we went to Don Don Donki a few times to stock up on Japanese snacks during our stay. The room was pretty basic but there was a musky smell in the room which I didn't really fancy. The hotel bathtub was also a little dirty but I guess for the price point one can't complain much. The pool was good and very popular and we almost didn't get to use the pool but luckily there was an empty pool slot on the next day morning. #exploresgtogether

The stay at Amara Hotel was excellent. Amara is two minutes away from the train station. The 100AM mall is right at the hotel’s doorstep. The executive room is done up in a pleasant and modern style. The room size is 32 sqm and it is spacious. Free Wifi is available throughout the stay. Amara boosts a beautiful Balinese-style pool and spa. Guest needs to make a booking at the front desk in advance to use the pool or gym. The breakfast is great and guest can opt for local delights eg Nasi Lemak or American breakfast! They will use individually packaged free chips and tissues, and will always ask if they need to top up the chips. I stopped the bartender when he was about to open the fourth package of chips. 😂 Happy hour is from 4pm to 7pm every day, and the cocktail on the happy hour menu is only $16++, but the selection will be more limited. Ordinary cocktail is $25++.💰 The menu of the bar is called the “decent menu”, which is a beautiful magazine. The first two pages are all the cocktails ordered from lighter to stronger, and the following is an introduction to each of them. 🍹 The feature of this bar is the transformation of classic cocktails. Amara Singapore, Deluxe Room. All photos taken in the morning after check-in. After months of serving the nation, Amara Singapore has finally opened its doors to welcome leisure stays. No doubt that Amara was greatly missed; snaking queues for check-in were formed, with countless complaints. I was in awe how the Reception were visibly overwhelmed yet kept their composure, serving guest after guest, group after group. My wait was enjoyable with dinner and later drinks at Jigger & Pony. I finally settled in my room near 10pm, ending my night with a good soak in the tub. The room allocated to me was a good size, but desperately some refurbishment in terms of the toilet. Water pressure and heat were weaker than the other hotels. The water stopper in the tub was old and couldn't stop water flowing into the sewage totally. However the above did little to discount the comfort of the room. Clean sheets dressed the bed and visible hygiene was done right. As the Reception staff member thanked me for being patient and kind, his/her voice cracked and tears welled up in her eyes. It was the first, and only moment of respect that this staff member had been granted for the whole of yesterday's work shift. This encounter hit me close to the heart and I went to bed reeling from the heartwrenching realisation of mutual respect denied to front liners. We do get upset over the long queues and the service lapses, but please give credit when due. In the case of Amara Singapore, they were grossly overwhelmed and are already working shifts late into the nights as we sleep soundly. They are humans as well; and mutual respect is a prerequisite in any interaction. Be kind and you will be treated kind. #2024wish My 2023 best travel trip is to fly to Kuala Lumpur. With many things to shop and nice food around the area. It is definitely a must visit place to the kuala Lumpur. For holiday in Singapore, I stayed at the Amara Singapore hotel executive room for a short staycation in Singapore .The room size was great. The room comes with a bathtub and a separate rainwater shower which is ideal for myself and my family members. The location is excellent . The hotel is connected to the 100am mall with many restaurants, bakeries, a supermarket, and the don don doki store outlet. A walk across the street will bring us to the tanjong pagar Plaza and food centre where we can try out local food at an incredibly economical price. The highlight of the hotel is its huge swimming pool. They do have a children's pool at the same level too. You can explore this neighbourhood on foot and walk towards Chinatown too. Amara Hotel has gone under renovation and reopen recently. So their rooms have been refurbished. At their hotel lobby, it is spacious and you can check in easily with their reception counters. It is also linked to a shopping center so it is super convenient for tourists.

Food Food at Amara Singapore in Element Restaurant is sadly not the same as pre-pandemic. While I've dined at Element Restaurant fairly often in the past; I certainly am disappointed this visit with the difference in quality. The local Singaporean dishes are still pretty good though, and worth ordering. The Silk Road Restaurant still maintains pretty good standards, and is worth visiting too. With many good quality restaurants and casual eateries nearby, guests really are spoilt for choice. #precious

The hotel do provide complimentary whole cake for guests who celebrate their birthday with the hotel. The executive room has a room size of 32m2. I find their king bed very high and wide. The room is carpeted. If you have children, they won't injure themselves if they fell down. There are lots of international channels available. The bathroom comes with a bathtub and a separate standing shower. The location is at tanjong Pagar. The nearest MRT station is the tanjong Pagar station. There is a small supermarket at the 3am just beside the hotel. Parking is complimentary for in house guest. There are lots of hawker foods just opposite the hotel.
