Exploring Helsinki: A Day of Art and Iconic Landmarks 🖼️ s
****
From the Church of Silence, a short walk around to the other side brings you to the Amos Rex Art Museum 🎨, a stunning architectural marvel that catches the eye with its unique and modern design. The museum's entrance fee is 20 euros, which can feel a bit pricey, especially if you're not particularly drawn to art exhibitions. The head of the museum even commented on the cost, which led to a decision not to go inside. It seems we all agreed that our artistic sensibilities might not justify the expense.
Next, we hopped on a bus to visit our second destination: the Havis Amanda bronze statue 🗽. Located near Helsinki’s Market Square, this statue is a notable landmark in the city. Unfortunately, it seemed to be under maintenance during our visit, with the area around it cordoned off. We managed to snap a few photos before moving on, capturing what we could of this iconic symbol of Helsinki despite the barriers.
