#MarchGoodPlaces2025
Hotel: Hotel: ANA HOLIDAY INN SAPPORO SUSUKINO ANA Holiday Inn Sapporo Susukino
📍Address: 3-7, Minami-5-jo Nishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo
💞Recommendation reason: The most affordable business hotel under the ANA Airlines Group, with 9 floors and 178 rooms. The spacious lobby has some sofa areas for resting, but not much space. Check-in and check-out are very fast, and luggage can be stored. The cost for one person to stay in a twin room is only NT$1,563 (tax included).
Transportation Tips: Only a 3-minute walk from Susukino's famous landmark. Take a bus from New Chitose Airport to Sapporo. Take the Airport Limousine Bus (domestic platform 14/international platform 84) and get off at Susukino (Minami-Sanjo-Susukino Station). The fare is 1,300 yen. The airport bus will first pick up passengers at the domestic line and then go to the international line. The station staff will control the number of people in the queue. There are seats regardless of whether you are taking the domestic or international line. If the current bus is full, the people in the back row will be arranged to queue for the next bus. If you are going to Susukino by JR train, you must exit JR Sapporo Station, transfer to the Namboku Subway Line and get off at Susukino Station, then walk about 3 minutes from Exit 3; or transfer to the Toho Subway Line and get off at Hosui-Susukino Station, then walk about 2 minutes from Exit 4.
I always stay near Susukino so I can take the airport bus without having to push my luggage to transfer buses. After arriving at Minami-Sanjo-Susukino Station, walk back to the intersection (Toyoko INN Sapporo Susukino Intersection), and cross two intersections to reach the hotel. This time we stayed on the 7th floor. The standard twin room was about 18 square meters and was equipped with a 32-inch TV, electric kettle, basic tea bags and cups, iron, ironing board, humidifier and small safe. There is a restaurant and a small gym (three seats) on the second floor, as well as laundry facilities. The bathroom is the integrated type commonly seen in Japanese business hotels, and toiletries and tea bags are freely available in the lobby. There are two pillows on the bed, and it is not too soft, so you can have a good night's sleep. Outside the window is the city of Susukino that never sleeps. This hotel is not only an ANA member hotel, but also an IHG member hotel. It is less than a 5-minute walk from the Susukino landmark "Nikka Whiskey" and less than a 5-minute walk from the latest commercial facility COCONO. The night becomes more beautiful when eating, drinking and having fun.
