Tucked beneath the striking Aomori Bay Bridge, Aomori Ekimae Beach was a pleasant surprise during our visit. It’s not a sprawling coastline, but this compact beach offers a peaceful spot to unwind right in the heart of the city. The highlight? A large “AOMORI” sign that’s perfect for tourist photos — a thoughtful and Instagram-worthy touch that we really appreciated. While my family spent time exploring A-FACTORY next door (a fantastic place for apple-themed souvenirs), I took a quiet stroll along the beach. The setting was serene, with scenic views of the harbor and a refreshing sea breeze. Just beside the beach is the Seikan Train Ferry Memorial Ship Hakkōda-maru, so it’s easy to combine sightseeing, shopping, and a little relaxation in one stop. Parking was conveniently located right at the entrance, which made it an effortless visit, especially for those on a road trip. 📍Aomori Station Beach, Aomori Aomori Station Beach is a seaside park created to restore the former quay, which was the departure and arrival point of the old Seikan Ferry, to its former sandy beach and to bring back the rich ecosystem and life with the sea! ! In the middle of the beach, there is a large, eye-catching yellow letter monument that reads "AOMORI" 💛 As a fan of letter monuments, this is a place I've always wanted to visit ♡ lol In the nearby square, there is also a "Bikkuri Ringo" object modeled after the famous Aomori apple variety "Fuji"! 🍎 Nearby is A-FACTORY, a stylish commercial facility with souvenirs, miscellaneous goods stores, cafes, etc. ♡ We bought apple pie there 🍎 There are benches along the beach, so it's a great spot to relax.
