🎋 This is another iconic attraction in Kyoto. Arashiyama Bamboo Grove is very popular with tourists. If you want to avoid crowd, it’s best to come here around 6:30am. The walk through the Bamboo Grove is quick, around 5 minutes. I will recommend to do the hike and explore the nearby temples and shrines. You can also make your way to the rail track or down the river where you can get stunning picturesque scenery. #wheretogo

We had a great day in Arashiyama. It was a very hot day but the beauty of the countryside made it worth while. We also visited the Monkey Park which my children loved. Being able to feed the monkeys was a good experience. Also the view from Monkey Park was spectacular. Booked a really good Kyoto beef restaurant. The beef was amazing. I think we ordered everything that was on the menu.

Nice monkey park, steep climb uphill about 20 mins from the entrance to get to the top. Worth the climb as the views are great and the monkeys were entertaining. Always hungry and loves to be fed. Quite harmless and will not attack or come close as long as you don’t maintain eye contact. Has a small playground for kids as well and a toilet up on top and a cooling room after the long climb. #arashiyama
