This is totally wrong. Riding horses under the snowy mountains in winter is great, and there are fewer people in winter, so you can go to canyons that you can't enter in summer.
Additional notes on riding horses in Shandan in winter (especially for beginners who want to run horses, please read on):
Pick a day with good weather: If there is sunshine, it won't be cold to run, and it will be a good photo!

Route:
Lanzhou to Jinchang Station by train. You can stay near Jinchang Railway Station or take a bus to Yongchang.
Jinchang to Yongchang by bus (CNY 5). There are no bus signs, so ask the railway station staff or hotel front desk where to wait for the bus.
Yongchang to Xinchengzi by taxi (CNY 15 per person). You can ask at the bus station or ask the horse farm staff to help you find a taxi.

I. About Transportation
1. High-speed rail for outbound journey: Lanzhou, Xining, and Zhangye all have high-speed rail lines directly to Junma Field (the snow mountain scenery on the way to Zhangye is in Seat F!).
2. High-speed rail for return journey to city center: Important note!! Searching for "Zhangye" online will not show the high-speed rail from Sandan Junma Field back to Zhangye city center. You must enter "Zhangye West"!!!!
3. Vehicles from high-speed rail station to Junma Field: There are many black cars waiting for passengers outside the station. Prices are unknown, but we contacted the Junma Field coach in advance and he picked us up. We left our luggage in his car and he only charged us 80 yuan for the round trip.
II. Scenic Area Tickets and Horseback Riding Prices
1. Scenic area tickets: Scenic area tickets are required for horseback riding routes 3 or 4. Tickets cost 65 yuan.
2. Sightseeing bus: 20 yuan, stops at two locations: Biaoqi General Camp and Observation Deck. The sightseeing bus runs in a loop. If you miss the bus at the first stop, wait for the next one.

Which one should I choose, riding a horse or taking a sightseeing bus to the scenic area?

How to play:
Horse Riding Tour: Horse riding is 50 yuan/person/hour, and you need to pay an additional fee for the coach's horse, which is also 50 yuan/horse/hour. So, if two people ride for two hours, the cost is: 50*2*2+50*2=300 yuan.
