The Assan Church was built between 1734 and 1746 and is one of the outstanding Rococo buildings in Germany. On the left side of the church is the house of one of the church builders, Ajid Jilin Assam. The facade of the house is painted according to the traditional Bavarian style, the lower part shows the real world and human artistic activities, and the upper part is the paintings of Catholicism and ancient history.

It's about a 10-minute walk from the square, located on a street-facing spot. From the outside, it doesn't appear to be a very grand church. It's not large overall, decorated in Rococo style. The murals inside are very exquisite. The visit only takes about 10 minutes.

Can’t have enough of Munich!
#2024mapped
Since Germans are rather known for their quality of being principled (which could mean rigid), before my departure I had imagined Munich architecture to be rather squared and buttoned up.
But not at all. The city centre has vibrant colours and a lot of to my eyes kiddish design/decorations. And there were dozens of places to see just within 1km radius. So definitely a travel-friendly city I would say.
Places that I enjoyed (or would suggest):
1) Marienplatz - New/old town halls and many churches are next to here and its neighbourhood
2) St Peter Church - the observatory provides one of the best high point to view the city landscape
3) Asamkirche - a small church tucked in the middle of a row of shops, but the baroque-styled interior is enough intricate to be mind-blowing
4) Munich Residenz
5) Odeonplatz
6) Viktualienmarkt
7) Deutches Museum
8) Nymphenburg Palace
9) Hofbrauhaus - a hundreds-year-old restaurant that has become a must-go for global travelers (in the city centre, free toilet is hard to find, but the toilet here can be an accessible option, coz it’s too busy for anyone to check)

A Hidden Baroque Gem
#traveldiaries
The Asam Church, or Asamkirche, is a small yet incredibly ornate Baroque church tucked away on Sendlinger Straße. Built by the Asam brothers in the 18th century, this church is a testament to their artistic vision, with every inch of the interior covered in detailed stucco work, gilded altars, and dramatic frescoes. The intimate atmosphere makes it a peaceful retreat from the busy city streets, while the stunning decoration transports you to a world of Baroque extravagance. Despite its size, the church’s beauty leaves a lasting impression, and its intricate details beg to be captured in photographs and descriptions in your travel journal. It’s a place where art, architecture, and spirituality converge, making it a must-see for lovers of design and history.

Asamkirche, Munich, Germany
Asamkirche also known as St. Johann Nepomunk, or Asam Church in Munich, Germany.
A beautiful church located in southern Germany of the city Munich.
Built from 1733 - 1746, a baroque church which is considered to be one of the most important buildings of the southern German Late Baroque.
As you can see by the photos it is a beautiful building inside and out and is free to enter.

Germany 🇩🇪Assam Church
Germany 🇩🇪Assam Church
Walking from the city hall to Sendlinger Tor, there is a stunning church hidden on this street. Although there is a fence blocking the church from getting close to it, its luxurious light cannot be hidden. Definitely the most typical representative of Rococo style.

The Asan b
The Asan brothers originally wanted to build a private church to pray for the home, and open it to the public at the advice of the neighbors. All the sculptures, designs, decorations and materials in this church are luxurious and exquisite. Every detail reflects the artistic talent and rich wealth of the two brothers. I love the lighting glass that shines like the sun above the church. This church can completely win any suspenseful movie that is no less than the devil and angel.

Munich Assam Church, which is a church far from the center of Maria Square, is relatively small. It is small compared to the previous majestic churches. However, it is so beautiful! ! Be sure to come! ! ! The
Assam Church is located in the south of the Virgin Square and was built in the 18th century. It is one of the most outstanding Rococo style buildings in Germany. The facade of the church is drawn in the traditional Bavarian style, the lower half is the real world and the human art, and the upper half is the paintings of the Catholic and ancient history.
Although the church is on a pedestrian street, the maverick facade decoration has declared his uniqueness.
It is impossible to breathe when you enter it. The very complicated pattern decoration is densely covered with a small wall space, which is gorgeous and suffocating.
