The air is so fresh. I even saw the Southern Lights near home. My English improved a lot. I avoided Thai groups and worked with Kiwis and Asians like Malaysians, Taiwanese, Chinese, and Indians — who became like family. I’m lucky to have met friends who cooked for me, worked 12-hour shifts but still chatted endlessly. Even hearing Chinese daily made me pick up some words. According to the website, the park is spread over 10 acres and exhibits some of rarest and exquisite varieties of rose and is home to 1600 varieties of flowers. There is a small fountain pool and classical bronze figure forms the centerpiece. It would be nice to explore and stroll around the garden during spring to witness the roses bloom.
