Family trip to Auckland 🇳🇿
On our family trip to Auckland, we found it to be an ideal destination for my parents, nephew and nieces.
We started by visiting Auckland War Memorial Museum. It's an excellent place to learn about New Zealand’s history and Maori culture. The museum's exhibits are interactive, and there's even a daily Maori cultural performance that the whole family enjoyed 🙌 The museum is located within the Auckland Domain, which is perfect for a leisurely walk afterward.

We explored Auckland Zoo, home to over 135 species of animals. The zoo has spacious walkways, making it suitable for strollers or those who need to take it easy. We spent hours admiring animals like giraffe🦒 , lions 🦁 and native New Zealand birds 🐦 I would recommend it for a half-day trip, as there’s plenty to see and do, and the zoo is well set up for both young children and older adults.

If you are looking for somewhere good for food, I would recommend it you to check out The Elliot Stables. It’s a food court with various eateries, offering everything from local cuisine to international dishes. We particularly enjoyed the fresh fish and chips, which were reasonably priced at around NZD $20 per person. This place is perfect for families, as everyone can choose what they want.

We also visited Sky Tower. The panoramic views from the top were breathtaking, and it was an exciting experience for everyone in the family. We enjoyed a coffee ☕️ and light meal at the Sky Café while taking in the sights. I would recommend this as a must-visit, and it's especially enjoyable on a clear day ☀️

We also explored my mom’s favorite restaurant, Ortolana. A cozy restaurant nestled in Britomart. The menu is seasonal, and we loved the roasted chicken 🍗 and fresh 🥗 The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which made it ideal for both the younger and older members of our family. The prices were on the higher side, with mains around NZD $35, but the quality of the food made it worth it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We also explored the Auckland Waterfront. The whole family enjoyed the evening breeze, and there are plenty of spots to sit and relax while watching the boats. It’s a peaceful end to a busy day and a great place for families to unwind.
📍Quay Street, Auckland, New Zealand
Auckland is a great city for families. The pace of the city is relaxed, and many attractions are easily accessible with minimal walking. My nieces and nephews also had a fantastic time as there are lots of engaging activities that kept them interested. Auckland strikes the perfect balance between relaxation for older members and excitement for the younger ones 🙌
