On the weekend, we drove with the kids to Yunmen Five Seasons Cultural Tourism Town in Ruyuan, Shaoguan, Guangdong. A special corner was dedicated to the kids, complete with a child-sized bed, sofa, and plush pillows. The scenic view from the window was breathtaking, offering a panoramic vista of distant mountains and rivers—our children spent a delightful afternoon here. 🌈📖 🎉 Endless Indoor & Outdoor Fun 🎉 Beyond the cozy rooms, the hotel offered a wealth of indoor and outdoor entertainment. The indoor sports complex was a lifesaver on rainy days, with various ball games to keep the kids active. On sunny days, the 25,000-square-meter outdoor "natural oxygen bar" became our paradise. We joined the hotel’s free family activities, which ran from morning till night—truly the ultimate stress-free vacation spot for parents! 🌳🎉 🍵 Leisurely Afternoon Tea ☕ The hotel’s dining options were a highlight. Whether it was the East-meets-West breakfast buffet, Ruyuan coffee, or local specialties, every dish was memorable. The on-site café, with its elegant ambiance, served a diverse afternoon tea menu—from handmade cakes to fresh juices, each bite was pure bliss. We opted for the outdoor barbecue area, grilling under the stars while watching a movie by the cozy bonfire. Shaoguan Ruyuan "Tail Grass Hotel" Traveling at a slow pace, I decided to leave at the last minute on the weekend and arrived in three hours. It seems to be a newly opened hotel and B&B. The staff are clearly well-trained and friendly and courteous. I chose a twin room for more than 300 yuan a night and stayed for 2 nights. The room is not big, but enough. There is a parking lot outside the window, no view, ugh woo woo. The water pressure is a bit low, but the water temperature is hot enough. Hygiene is considered acceptable. The windows are well insulated. No need to order takeout. It's a bit out of the way. For late-night snacks, you have to drive about 7 kilometers to the county center, but instant noodles are available at the front desk. (Don’t arrive in the early morning like we did) Not far from nearby attractions (Yunmen Mountain and Yunmen Temple). There are many delicious farms around (only open for lunch and dinner markets). The breakfast in the morning was okay, not many varieties, but enough. The ingredients are fresh. Although it is remote, it has complete facilities and you can spend half a day in the hotel. (Restaurants, fast and slow charging, camping camps, gyms, basketball courts, coffee drinks, TV screen projection, etc.) You must drive yourself, it is convenient to go anywhere. The surrounding scenic areas are pet-friendly. The hotel environment is also very suitable for bringing pets, but pets are not allowed in the hotel. It is very suitable for vacation and feel the freshness brought by nature. It is very suitable for leisure self-driving and family group building.
