I tried the 'Kiaji (Golden Horse Mackerel)' from Numajima for the first time. On this day, there were also Ebisu Sea Bream, Octopus, Bluefin Tuna, and Live Abalone from Awaji Island. #AccommodationTrip We stayed at Awaji Hamarikyu Besso Takumi in Minami Awaji City, Awaji Island. All rooms have an open-air hot spring bath and a private terrace. We stayed in a Type B room. There was a very large open-air bath, a tatami room, a bedroom, a living room, and a terrace, so we were able to relax very comfortably. There were yukatas in the rooms by size, so you could spend time in the hotel in your yukata. There was also a lounge that offered free alcohol, drinks, and snacks, which was very nice. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant in the inn. The Japanese and Western cuisine was very delicious, including seafood, onions, chicken, and Awaji beef, which are specialties of Awaji Island. Awaji Island is located to the east of the Seto Inland Sea. It is one of the islands I would highly recommend to those who want to experience beautiful sunsets and art. The recommended route is to drive from Naruto City to the Otsuka Museum of Art and Senjojiki, enjoy the beautiful sea and art, and then drive to the Awaji Island Sunset Line to see the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. The Awaji Island Sunset Line has parking lots dotted along the way, so you can get off the car at your favorite spot and watch the sunset. My favorite is Ezaki Park! #DomesticTravelRecord I crossed the bridge connecting Hyogo Prefecture and Tokushima Prefecture and enjoyed a whirlwind island trip♪ First, I drove from Honshu to Awajishima across the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. While enjoying the blue sky and sea from the car window, I crossed the Naruto Kaikyo Bridge and landed in Tokushima Prefecture! I immediately went to the confectionery workshop "French Monster Setouchi Food Art". It opened in 2020 and offers cute cakes and drinks that look great. And above all, the location is the best! The shop is located at a scenic point at the top of Shimada Island, Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture, so you can enjoy the view of the sea and mountains from the inside and terrace. 📍Location: 9 Nakashimada Higashiyama, Seto-cho, Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture The next place I went to was "Live Fish Cuisine Bimbiya", where there is a long line at lunchtime. We went to Craft Circus, where you can enjoy a meal and shopping for local specialties while watching the ocean and sunset of Awaji Island. Every seat has a view of the ocean, and it's a very open space. There's also a BBQ area, and a space to enjoy with your dog. The pizza baked in the oven in the large open kitchen looks delicious! We had a colorful salad and a beautiful drink. 📍Location: 2-2 Nojima Hirabayashi, Awaji City, Hyogo Prefecture Once we've satisfied our appetites, we drive to the inn. This time, we're staying at Awaji Hamarikyu, a hotel on the west coast. It's a lovely Japanese-modern hotel where you can see Keino Matsubara Beach, which has been selected as one of the 100 best sunset spots in Japan, from your room. A large flower vase was displayed at the entrance, and the lobby with a stairwell was very cool. And since it was a gift trip for my elderly parents, I splurged and used the suite room on the top floor. The room had a large open-air bath as big as a mini pool, and it was a real hot spring. Shiozaki Onsen is famous for its beauty baths, and contains more baking soda than the three major beauty baths in Japan. The water feels like a thick lotion, and makes your skin smooth. And for dinner, we had a course of three-year-old tiger pufferfish, which is a specialty of Awaji Island. After a toast with fin sake, we had a feast of pufferfish, including sashimi, fried chicken, and hot pot. After waking up in the morning, we enjoyed the hot spring in our room and checked out.
