Check in Pyeongchang County This winter you deserve it
1. Take a taxi to Hengcheng Station after landing (
10,400 won, but the driver only charged 10,000 won. I wanted to store my luggage at the high-speed rail station, but the only convenience store inside was closed and would not reopen until 15. I had no choice but to take a taxi with my luggage and stroll around Hengcheng Street. We went to Hoengseong Market and had the local specialty grilled beef at the Daeheung Fine Meat Restaurant. Address: 279-6, Eupsang-ri, Hoengseong-eup, Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon-do. It is located at the entrance of Hoengseong Market, diagonally opposite the bakery. The boss doesn't speak English and we don't speak Korean, but it doesn't affect the experience. He also helps us grill the meat and tries to tell us how to eat it better.
2. There are very few people on the entire Hengcheng Street. Many stores are closed. They basically resumed business on January 5, but many coffee shops are open. It seems that Koreans really can't live without coffee. My impression of Hengcheng: The locals are very friendly. I also saw a cattle farm while strolling in Hengcheng.
3. Take the high-speed train from Hengcheng Station to Zhenfu Station. It takes 24 minutes. The mobile phone can be wirelessly charged on the seat. At first I didn't see any instructions on how to use it, so the Korean lady sitting next to me taught me how to use it and even used her own phone to show me how to remove the phone.
I put the case back in, and when I got off the bus, I saw a mobile phone left in the charging area of the empty seat in the front row. It must be that the person who left forgot to take it. Friends who take the high-speed rail must remember not to leave their mobile phones behind.
4. Take the shuttle bus from Zhenfu Station to the hotel. While waiting for the shuttle bus, I chatted with the shuttle bus driver from other hotels. He laughed and said that China is very big and South Korea is very small. He was also super enthusiastic and nice. (The Koreans I met these days are all very nice. If you are worried about encountering stores or people who discriminate against Chinese people when you go to Korea, don't worry. Most people are very friendly, and if there are a few who are unfriendly, just let them be.)
5. The hotel is located in Alpensia Resort. There is a ski resort behind the hotel, and the skiing atmosphere is very good. The hotel is very close to Phawangsan Mountain. We took a taxi from the hotel to Phawangsan Mountain at 4 pm (the journey took five minutes and cost about 6,000 won). The first floor is the ski ticket office (Longping Ski Resort), and the second floor is the cable car ticket office. Because the hotel company and the ski resort are not the same company, discounts cannot be given based on hotel room cards. The cable car can only be purchased as a round trip ticket. The cable car stops going up the mountain at 5 o'clock, and the latest time to go down the mountain is 6 o'clock. You will see the snow trails along the way and watch people skiing down below from a close distance. After getting off the cable car, you will feel the sounds of nature and the beautiful snow scenery.
