As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the traditional Tibetan architecture and the warm, welcoming locals who have called this village home for centuries. The Scenic Surroundings The natural beauty of Bala Village is nothing short of spectacular. The village is situated at the foot of Balagezong Mountain, a stunning snow-capped peak that towers above the village and is often shrouded in mist, giving it a mystical aura. The surrounding landscape is dotted with lush forests, rivers, and rolling hills that create a peaceful atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature. Exploring Tibetan Culture What sets Bala Village apart is its deep connection to Tibetan culture. The village’s Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, colorful prayer flags, and traditional Tibetan houses add to the cultural richness of the area. Balazegong, Tibet, was like stepping into another world. The mountains, the silence, and the cultural were something I’ll never forget. It felt like the kind of place and memory that stays with you forever.

Bala Village is located at the foot of Gezong Snow Mountain, deep in the Shangri-La Grand Canyon, at an altitude of about 2,900 meters. Bala Village is a Tibetan village with a history of more than 1,300 years. Its name "Bala" means "a Tibetan village that migrated from Batang" in Tibetan. Bala Village has rich natural resources and beautiful scenery, and was once isolated from the world due to inconvenient transportation. Sna Dingzhu, who was born here, left the mountains at the age of 13 to explore the outside world. After accumulating funds, he was determined to build a road to the outside world for his hometown at the age of 35. After decades of perseverance, he managed to carve out a 6.5-meter-wide road from the cliffs. Sna Dingzhu's legendary experience not only changed the poverty of his hometown, but also made Balagezong a tourist paradise that everyone yearns for. Bala Village is located at the foot of Gezong Snow Mountain in the middle of the Shangri-La Grand Canyon, about 700 meters vertically above the Gangqu River Valley. Yesterday, I experienced the joy of playing in the snow at Balagezong in Shangri-La! This is a place full of legendary colors. 🏔️The altitude difference of Balagezong is extremely large, including snow mountains, forests and canyons. Tourists must take a scenic bus from the entrance of the scenic spot in the valley at an altitude of 2200m+, and the winding mountain road goes straight to the Xiangbala Stupa at an altitude of 4200m+. The altitude of Zongge Snow Mountain in the scenic area is as high as 5500m+ 💡Balagezong is called the 'ultimate secret place' of Shangri-La, it's not a gimmick. Decades ago, this place could not even be found on the map. The villagers in Bala Village had to walk for 4~5 days to get to the county town. 📌When it comes to Balagezong, we have to mention the 'CCTV Annual Charity Person' Sna Dingzhu, a villager from Bala Village. At the age of 10, he walked for 5 days to the county town due to an eye injury, and eventually delayed the treatment, but since then he has buried a dream of road construction. At the age of 13, he went out to work, and when he was nearly 40, he accumulated tens of millions of wealth. Then he spent 10 years and a total of 850 million to build a 58-kilometer asphalt road for Balagezong, and finally ended up in debt. 📌Ordinary tourists can go to Bala Village and Xiangbala Stupa in Balagezong. The former can understand the humanities, and the latter is a beautiful natural scenery. Tourists with certain outdoor foundations can also contact the scenic area to explore higher altitudes. ⚠️The altitude of the scenic area is high and the ultraviolet rays are strong, so sun protection is essential. In winter, you must bring sunglasses to prevent snow blindness in a short time.

Balagezong is located at the junction of Yunnan, Sichuan, and Tibet. This place was once a place that could not be located on any map in the world, and was known as the "once lost secret land". In this place, there has been a village "Bara Village" for 1300 years. The Balagezong Sky Road is 35 kilometers long, with 52 hairpin bends and 108 turns. It is winding and rugged, spiraling upwards, without extra guardrails. Here is the mysterious Shambhala Stupa, which is a Tibetan Buddhist stupa.
