It is a historic market dated back to 1922 and converted to hawker centre in 2003. Now it has become a sheltered hawker centre with plenty of ventilation, serving many local hawker fare. Some of the structures are being preserved as you can see from their roofs. I ordered some bbq seafood and grilled chicken wings and it was not even $30. It was so value for money. Plus this balestier market is open for 24 hours. From history, it is also the only surviving rural market left in Singapore.
