I would recommend you to try my favourite Butterry Lobster ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was so good until we ordered two plates 🤣 Other dishes were slightly above average but all the seafood that we ordered was good! #weekendgetaways On my recent weekend trip to Batam, I got the opportunity and privilege to do cafe hopping with a group of good friends! We ended up at a quaint and really nice industrialist styled building with a cafe in it! It was Labers Coffee Pergudangan and the space was really nice! We ordered a loaded waffle to share. The waffle had fruits, a lotus biscoff biscuit and 2 scoops of delicious ice cream. It was delicious and the waffles was crispy on the outside. Recently took a ferry ride and went to Batam Our first stop is not so well known Batik fabric shop named Pak Long Batik House. Lots of hand blocks Batik patterns with some patterns native to Batam Islands include some sea creatures pattern, butterfly pattern and so on Next stop is the zoo paradise ! It literally wowed us with zero distance from animals! Snake, porcupines, birds you name it. With small entrance fee they will pass you some animal feeds as well. Kids will LOVE this place! ♡

I like how this night market is so full of local culture and daily life. It is definitely not the most modern or snazzy night market but we got to interact with many of the locals there, which was a fantastic experience in itself. There are a mix of food and retail stalls by the side of a long street so we ate and shopped the evening away. The shoes were super affordable and seemed to be of decent quality. This market is located a stone’s throw away from the Four Points Hotel. The view is amazing, with a clear blue sky and the ocean right in front of you. It’s the perfect spot to relax, listen to the waves, and enjoy the breeze. The cafe’s menu is simple, but it’s all you need for a relaxing day. If you’re in Batam, this cafe is a great place to chill and take in the beautiful beach scenery.

Quite a few changes in batam since last visited six years ago prior to covid-19. Several new shopping malls, massage outlets, hotels, new places to eat, and attractions. There is now a zoo and a cat cafe for animal lovers. Also visited during the durian season and took a gamble at a roadside durian stall and the durians were surprisingly not bad! Nice to revisit after so long.
