Beijing Tour 9: Dongjiaominxiang, the longest alley in old Beijing.
Dongjiaominxiang is a quiet and ordinary street extending eastward from the south side of Tiananmen Square in Beijing. It starts from Tiananmen Square East Road in the west and ends at Chongwenmennei Street in the east. It is nearly 1.6 kilometers long and is the longest alley in old Beijing. It is a European-style neighborhood that integrates embassies, churches, banks, official residences, and clubs.
Existing buildings include the French Embassy, the Austro-Hungarian Embassy, the Belgian Embassy, the Japanese Legation and Embassy, the Italian Embassy, the British Embassy, the Bank of China, the Citibank, the Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, the Russo-Chinese Bank, the International Club and the French Barracks.
The existing buildings have basically retained their original appearance and most of them are offices of state agencies. Along the street there are Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, Supreme People's Court, Supreme People's Procuratorate, China Youth Travel Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Guesthouse, Xinqiao Hotel, Hongdu Fashion Company, etc.

1. Take bus No. 41 or No. 60, get off at the south entrance of Zhengyi Road and walk 79 meters.
2. Take bus No. 59, 723, 729, 8, 9 or Special No. 11, get off at Zhengyi Road and walk 186 meters.
3. Take Bus No. 44 Inner Ring, No. 44 Outer Ring, No. 723, No. 729, No. 9 or Special No. 2, get off at Taijichang Road West and walk 235 meters.
4. Take tram No. 103, No. 104, night bus No. 201, night bus No. 211, or bus No. 41, get off at Taijichang Road East, and walk 359 meters.
5. Take Bus No. 44 Inner Ring, No. 44 Outer Ring, No. 673, No. 729, No. 8, No. 9, or No. 2 to Qianmen East and walk 460 meters.
