The first floor has a high wooden roof and a Japanese-style space covered with tatami. Walking downstairs, the spacious stone bath comes into view. The walls have restored scenes from the past, and with the clever use of interactive devices, one can imagine the travelers of the past sitting around the pool, soaking in the hot spring and chatting. It's really cute! This is not just a museum, but more like a time capsule of hot spring culture. It is just a 30minutes train ride from Taipei Main Station via red line, which is an easily accessible and reachable destination. We then took another train ride to Xinbeitou station which is nearer to all of the touristy spots. Famous for its natural wonder of hot springs, the Beitou district is full of hot springs resorts, public baths and even museum dedicated for hot springs culture, such a unique place to visit. Would recommend to spend a night at their hot spring resort, especially during winter. Some of the popular destination that we visit include the Beitou Park, Beitou hot spring museum, Thermal Valley and the beautiful Beitou library. The district is filled with lush greeneries and is really calm and slow paced! Lovely place to visit!

But it is recommended to continue walking up for 10 minutes to the Six Giant Rocks viewing platform, where the view is more open. The mountain trail is all stone steps with handrails and street lights, making climbing effortless.
