Beizhen Temple is the only well-preserved mountain temple among the four major towns and mountains in the country, and has important historical and artistic value. The buildings of Beizhen Temple are arranged according to the mountain, rising layer by layer from south to north. In the middle of the front of the temple is a six-pillar and five-story archway, with a stone beast on each side. Going up the stairs is the Xieshan-style three-coupon cave gate, with the three characters "Beijing Temple" engraved under the forehead of the door. Entering the mountain gate and climbing the 20 steps is the Shenma Hall. After passing the Shenma Hall to the north is a tall platform, surrounded by finely carved stone railings, and the main buildings are on the platform. From south to north, there are Yuxiang Hall, main hall, dressing hall, inner incense hall and apse. The main hall of Beizhen Temple is five rooms wide and three rooms deep. It has a large wooden frame structure of Xieshan style, covered with green tiles, carved beams and painted buildings. It is simple and elegant. It is a place for holding sacrificial ceremonies. On the altar in the center of the northern part of the hall is a statue of "Beizhen Mountain God", and the walls on the east and west sides are painted with the portraits of the 32 founding fathers of the Ming Dynasty. The rear hall is the "inner house" of the mountain god couple, second only to the main hall in scale. In the northwest corner of Beizhen Temple, there is a natural boulder shaped like a screen called "Cui Shiping". Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty named it one of the eight scenic spots in Lushan, and wrote poems for it.
