Huge local market in Tashkent cannot be skipped. We went to celebrate the birthday of my friend to Tashkent for 3 days and of course Choray Bazaar was in our list. It’s a huge local market full of nuts, fruits, tea, meat and son inside. Outside you can also find clothes and other goods as well. Don’t forget to bargain! I figured that visiting a mosque is the only thing to do in terms of sightseeing at 8am. The museums that my friend and I wanted to visit would not open until 10am. The Minor Mosque is a new mosque in Tashkent. Construction completed in 2014 before the Eid al-Fitr holiday. It has the capacity of accommodating 2,500 prayers at once. Known as the “White Mosque” in Tashkent, the Minor Mosque lived amply up to its name on the day of our visit. Its white marble exterior exuded an air of holiness. It stood pure, speckless and sparkly under the brilliance of the sun’s early rays. There are two minarets in the height of 38 meters. The structure consists also of two large portals, beautifully decorated with geometric patterns in blue and white, as well as Quran scripts. Although Uzbekistan is not considered fundamentalist, as an Islam country, the faith is well alive and practiced in Uzbekistan. The sinews of faith do bind the cultural fabric of the Muslim majority in Uzbekistan. This fact is seen when we witness the prayers at the mosques in the country. A word must be given here about the name of the mosque. To English speakers one would associate the Minor Mosque with the size of the mosque, and naturally wonders if there is indeed a “grand mosque” or “major mosque” as its counterpart. The Minor Mosque’s name is actually a geographical reference, as this part of Central Asia was known as Asia Minor in the ancient days. Not only shampoo and shower gel, but also hand cream and lip balm, super love. After check-in, there are welcome fruits and dessert snacks, and the macarons are delicious. 🏊‍♀️Entertainment facilities: The hotel has a gym and an indoor swimming pool, as well as a sauna, and there is a lounge area next to it, suitable for vacation. 🍴Catering food: The environment of the hotel's executive lounge is very good, but the variety of food is not as rich as in China, there are more fruits, nuts, snacks, wine, and cold dishes, and there are not many hot dishes. The buffet breakfast is rich, mainly Western food, and the cheese and various fruits and vegetable juices are super rich. 🧸When checking out, the hotel also gave small gifts and 2 dolls wearing Uzbek national costumes. The gift is light and the sentiment is heavy. I will choose to stay at the Intercontinental next time I go to Tashkent.

Chorsu Bazaar in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, is a treasure trove of cute things! In the capital, Tashkent, there is a large bazaar called Chorsu Bazaar. It is easy to access by bus from the city. It is a place where local people come to do their daily shopping, so it is full of local atmosphere. I went to choose plates, which was my purpose before going. The colorful plates with geometric patterns and pomegranate motifs are very cute. It is so beautiful that I want them all. The food looks photogenic too. You can also purchase "Suzani", a traditional Uzbek craft, here. ⚫︎I visited Tashkent-Samarkand-Bukhara (Samarkand was my base), but the best way to travel between the cities is by train! ⚫︎Daytime flights sell out quickly, but there are openings at the last minute, so it's better to reserve a flight that's available and check frequently until the last minute → cancel the ticket you already have if you can secure one! (There is a cancellation fee, but it's only a few hundred yen... on the day? If it's right before the trip, you can only process it at the counter, so be careful!) May is said to be the best season for sightseeing. There are many sunny days and the scenery is very beautiful, but during the day it is hot enough to cause heatstroke, and the sun is strong. Be sure to prepare a hat, parasol, hat to block direct sunlight, water, etc. Also, the food is delicious, but it uses a lot of oil, so it tends to make you feel heavy...
