Gyeongju Bomun Tourist Area is located in Gyeongju City and is an international tourist destination. The tourist area is centered on Bomun Lake, which is about 6 kilometers east of Gyeongju City, covering an area of about 1,033 hectares (total area of 3.23 million pyeong). Opened in April 1979, it is a comprehensive tourist resort. There is a huge waterwheel at the entrance. The water of Deokdong Lake runs down the canal, making the waterwheel rotate under natural power. There is also an artificial waterfall at the entrance with a height of 12 meters. Bomun tourist area has international convention center, tourist center, golf course, general store, tourist hotel and other facilities, all of which are built according to the traditional form of Korea. There are also entertainment facilities such as cruise ship berths, Liufu Village, Sonje Art Museum, Bomun Open Air Stage, Drive Theater, Gyeongju World and other entertainment facilities. The Bomun Open Air Stage holds traditional Korean traditional music performances every day from April to January of the following year. Viewers have free admission. The hot spring pool in Bomun Garden is gushing with high-quality hot spring water with an average temperature of 35.5 degrees. It can be used without heating, and tourists can enjoy the hot spring bath here. There is a long walking trail along the lake, and the cherry trees along the road are dense. In April, the cherry blossoms bloom, and the park becomes a pink snow field.
