Latsch is a small village located on the mountain next to Bergün train station, with a sparse population. From here, you can look down on the town of Bergün, and the view is breathtaking. The houses in the village are all aged buildings. They are neither grand nor quaintly cute, but they have their unique charm. Walking through the village's narrow paths feels like stepping back into the Europe of yesteryears.

For season 2024, it opens from 8 June to 20 October 2024. The return journey for adult without discount costs is CHF 96 per person. You can either purchase the ticket online or at the station in Brienz. To make sure you able to get a seat, it would be better to purchase the ticket including seat guarantee in advance or be there early to buy it at the station. The train that runs while making a squeaky sound and belching smoke was so cute and amazing😲 Because it's a steam locomotive, they even fill up with water(?) at the middle station! It's so amazing... #tripaway a beautiful and amazing small waterfall. A very nice waterfall, but first of all it is a beautiful walk between Giessbach and Iseltwald, all along the shore of the lake, through the forest and with spectacular panoramic views.Will definitely visit again after the pandemic . #tripaway

Taking the historic steam train to Rothorn is a fantastic experience. It's a fun trip suitable for the whole family, especially young children. The ride takes about an hour, but both the journey to and from are wonderful. The views of the lakes and mountains along the way are absolutely stunning. At the summit, you can enjoy the magnificent views of the Bernese Alps' three giants, including the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. You can also take in the beauty of Brienz, Glaubebielen, and Schrattenfluh. Afterward, you can freely take any train back along the same route, which is very convenient. The train travels slowly, allowing you to truly immerse yourself in the scenery and gain a unique experience. It is highly recommended to book seats during the peak tourist season, as there are few trains, and due to the steep gradient, the steam engine only pushes two carriages, limiting the train's capacity. There is only one train per hour in both directions. Don't miss this historic steam train, as it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Absolutely worth it!

Some rooms offer stunning views of the snow-capped mountains, Lake Brienz, or waterfalls. 🛋️ As soon as you enter the lobby, you feel like you've entered the Grand Budapest Hotel, with colorful wallpaper, vintage European furniture, a grand piano, and fresh flowers and greenery everywhere, as if you've walked into a warmly decorated castle. 🔑 The room key you receive from the front desk is full of ceremony. ☕️ There is no mini bar or kettle in the room, but you can find everything you want in the public area on the third floor. It's like walking from your room to the tea room, where there is coffee, tea, and fruit. 🛀 The room furniture is very old-fashioned, but the bathroom is brand new, and green is my favorite bathroom color, so I really enjoy taking a bath in it. 🧴 It's worth mentioning that the toiletries smell very fresh and natural, and I couldn't resist buying a few bottles when I checked out, 10 euros each. The hotel also sells souvenirs such as honey from its own garden. 📺 The TV is very small and retro, just like the ones I used to watch when I was a kid, but the hotel thoughtfully provides a program list, so you can easily see which channels are in English, German, French, or radio! I have to say, the quality of a great hotel is all in the details!!! I really recommend that you stay in Brienz for a day when you travel to Switzerland, because if you miss it, I'll really feel sorry for you!

Visiting Brienz was a wonderful experience filled with natural beauty. This charming village, located on the shores of Lake Brienz, is surrounded by picturesque mountains and offers stunning views from every angle. I enjoyed walking along the lake's shore, where the clear blue water reflects the surrounding mountains. I also took a cable car to the top of the mountain, and the view from there was truly breathtaking. I strolled through the village and enjoyed shopping at small shops selling local handicrafts. The food was delicious, especially the traditional Swiss dishes. I highly recommend visiting Brienz to enjoy its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. It's a must-visit destination! 🏔️🌊

The weather in Brienz was cloudy, but the beautiful blue of Lake Brienz was spread out before us. The departure time was 9:40, and even though it was cloudy, the train was almost full. The impressive red steam locomotive looked very cute, so I got on with excitement. I was able to sit in the "seat facing the locomotive on the left side of the train as I was traveling" that I saw on the internet. The scenery was the most magnificent I have ever seen, and the train passing close to the cows was very impressive. I arrived at the top of the mountain, but I couldn't see anything because of the fog...I'm so disappointed that if it had been sunny, the view would have been amazing, but I thought it was cool and like a dream. The Lake Brienz boat tour starts in Interlaken Ost (Interlaken East) and ends in the village of Brienz at the east end of the lake. You can also do the tour in reverse, starting in Brienz and ending in Interlaken Ost. The one-way trip takes about 1 hour 15 minutes.
