It was a sunny 15 degree Celcius and I got myself out to Brighton Beach to check out those iconic colorful bathing boxes! It was relatively easy to get there with public bus, 5-10 minutes walk from the stop, and you’ll get there! As it is the only things to see at Brighton Beach, 15-30 minutes are probably enough if you don’t need to take photo on each of those boxes. You can head to some cafes around, just make sure to be there before 3PM because the cafes close early. How to Get There : drive, take taxi, or take public Bus 600, 922 or 923 (pay attention to the schedule though, it only comes every 20-30mins)

There is a parking lot nearer the Brighton Beach Gardens as the parking lot for the beach itself is under maintenance. Do remember to pay for parking at the machine ✅ There are benches to sit around to take in the scenery. Bring sunnies on a bright day to better enjoy the sight! Once you’ve had your fill of the seabreeze, head over to Swordfish Chippery for some yummy fish and chips! They even offer banana and pineapple fritters…I was curious but not enough to spend on fried pineapple 😂 If you do try it, could you let me know?

#celebratewithtrip if you are visiting Melbourne , one of the places you should definitely go to would be Brighton beach to visit the Brighton bathing boxes. I heard from my tour guide that this is worth a lot of money now and people who own this boxes are really a good investment. do note that they are unable to stay overnight here. the paintings on the bathing boxes are so colorful and nice it’s a perfect place to take a nice picture. also can enjoy the sea breeze but do note this is a tourist attraction so it can get crowded and you might not be able to take a picture without anyone in the background. nevertheless would recommend to still visit.

#passionpassport Brighton Beach is such a nice place to chill at. look at the colorful bathing boxes and you will definitely fall in love here as it’s just so cute!! also the beach is so inviting especially if it is a hot summer. you would want to jump in for a swim. and have some fun chilling or having a picnic with your loved ones or friends and families. if a picnic is too troublesome you can just head to the nearest restaurants as there are plenty near by. and of course fish and chips is a must try. it’s really nice no matter which store you get it from overall recommend making a trip to Brighton if you can. it will brighten up your day.

We drove here from our day trip back to Melbourne and were lucky enough to catch the sunset here. As we went during winter, there was not much activities going on at the beach. There were some food carts near where we parked our car. If you plan to drive here, better to have a meal plan as the area does not have many restaurants/shops. If you don’t drive, probably it’s not worth travelling here as it’s a bit out of the way compared to other attractions in Melbourne. Useful tip: walk along the beach for some interesting bathing boxes. It seems that the owners did change the paint job after some time. Take photos near sunset when you can catch the last glimpse of sunlight in the vast ocean. The feeling is so wonderful.

A good train ride south from Melbourne downtown and there we reached Brighton Beach, famous for its colorful beach boxes. Even if we visited in early February, summertime, the weather was not the most ideal for a bath, but we did enjoy the picturesque scene of the bathhouses decorated in bright colors.
