Making pottery is a story about lifting things up from the clay🇰🇷

After leaving the exhibition hall, I bought a handmade pottery kit (18,000 won) at the souvenir shop on the first floor of the museum. Back home, I made a cold coffee cup with the kit, and I felt the rough texture of the clay in my hands. The next morning, I poured a warm Americano into this cup and drank it, and there was a special feeling of old technology seeping into modern life. It was so special. It was so special. ㅋㅋㅋ
📌 Additional Exploration for Solo Travelers
Recommended Activities: Every Saturday at 2 PM, Pottery Glaze Workshop (Advance Reservation, 2 hours/30,000 won) → Make your own glaze and paint the pottery
Hidden Item: Pottery Fragment Necklace (9,500 won) in the corner of the souvenir shop → An accessory made by wrapping ancient pottery fragments in silver foil
Recommended Finishing: Traditional garden behind the museum → Collect wild flowers to put in the completed pottery
🚨 Smart Tip
Reservations for the workshop can be made on the website 3 days before your visit
The necklace can be adjusted to fit the length of your neck (ask the staff)
When collecting in the garden, bring small scissors and a paper bag.
Dandelions and mugworts picked in the garden I put it in a mini earthenware jar and put it on my desk. Every time the traces of the glaze drip down and shine in the light, it feels like I'm seeing the moment when imperfection turns into perfection!! Now, as I fill my breakfast in the handmade jar every morning, I realize that earthenware is not just a relic, but a companion in life.. I'm so happyㅋㅋ!!
