A few thoughts: - I came on a Sunday morning (9:30) and it took only 10mins to get in (note there are a few cafes that form part of Hotel Sacher where you can get the cake) - The interior was comfortable, a classic Viennese coffeehouse, not too busy with tall ceilings - The cake: the cafe uses the original recipe from 1832. The cake is not a moist cake (but the jam and creme alongside help) but it is the original.
