2025 San Juan Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in March)

10 out of 10 would do SeaTrek in #sanjuan Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷 Went for my 4th wedding anniversary this year and spontaneously decided to do this under water adventure!! Honestly, it was super nerve racking at first. I did not think my ears would continuously pop the way they did😬. BUT, the guide have us a great tip to combat that and it worked like a charm!! They take video and pictures of you (at an extra charge of course, but who wouldn’t pay an extra $30 for memories like this!?!) The guide even brought a water bottle with breadcrumbs inside to attract 🐠fish. The picture with all the fish in front of us was because we were holding the bread bottle 😆.

Getting There - We got around the island in Uber not the recommended way to get to places it gets very expensive especially during rush hour we had Ubers cancel on us or the price doubles just for traffic. I highly recommend renting a car. Attractions - Beautiful attractions we did the tour of the old forts in old San Juan and then went zip lining in the national park of Puerto Rico the staff was lovely and fun to be with. Hotels - We stayed in an Airbnb it was more accommodating for our group then hotel. The girls wanted to stick together. Food & Restaurants - The was AMAAZZINNGGG not one restaurant was the food a miss. Everything was so delicious and the cost was super affordable. We went to local spots like BBQ POLLO super yummy and mom & pop restaurant that were super tasty 🤤 Shopping - We did not shop. But we sure did PARTY. Nightlife - LIT 🔥 go to La placita it is a strip with multiple bars playing really good music and drinks are delicious and cheap 😌 #puertoricoestoycabron #beachlife

Old San Juan 😍 one of the most visited place in Puerto Rico. I enjoyed strolling the area and enjoying the view. I recommend visiting this colorful city if you visit Puerto Rico. You can also enjoy the exquisite cuisine, shop antiques, and attend different events.

Old San Juan an historic site where locals pride themselves in the history and beauty of the town. There are few shops and restaurants in the town. it’s about a 10 min drive from San Juan. There’s so much to see from the fortresses to the colorful architecture building. And yes there’s a nightlife there !!! #viejosanjuan #oldsanjuan #springbreak #summervacation

Even in some parts of the world, even in the snow, the Caribbean is still like the spring season. One day in Puerto Rico, I can change my flight style (in fact, I was very tired when I played too high a few days ago). I didnt arrange any itinerary, it was only close to where I lived. Condado Beach (Condado Beach), blowing the sea breeze from the Caribbean, basking in the warm sun, listening to his favorite music that he brought to the iPod, reading a book that he has been dragging for a long time before he can taste it. Book, spend a whole day leisurely. Occasionally look up, in addition to the blue sky and blue sky, there are also the men and women who come and go. It was my first time going to San Juan Puerto Rico and I had the most amazing time visiting the big castle and visiting all the different beaches!! It was definitely a sight to see and i would go back again! It was so peaceful just laying around on the beach and also the different restaurants we went to, food was definitely great there and I can’t wait to visit again with my friend

So remember to choose a hotel or accommodation in the old city so that you can easily access all attractions. Local Attractions - There are many attractions within the Old Town. These include the two most important castles, Paseo del Morro and Castillo San Cristóbal. The admission fee of US$10 includes both castles. In addition, La Perla community in the old city is where the despasito music video was filmed. However, this community was relatively dangerous 10 years ago. It is better now, but you still need to pay attention to the rules in the community. Food and Restaurants - Puerto Rico has different specialties, the more famous of which is mofongo, which can be found in all major Puerto Rican restaurants. For breakfast also try the mallorca at Cafetería Mallorca. This bread is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and slightly sweet, and will become more and more addictive the more you eat it. Also, for lunch I highly recommend Deaverdura. Although this restaurant does not have a formal menu and no prices are listed, the food quality is very good and the price is about US$10 to US$20. #2024wish Last year I enjoyed my Bday weekend in San Juan PR & it’s a trip I’ll never forget! From the beaches to the rainforest to the culture in the town I fell inlove with this island. The food, the hospitality.. the air! Like seriously take me back!! I can’t wait, personally I’m a Jamaican and I’ve never felt so at home in another place before. Puerto Rico is truly a beautiful place and it makes me want to visit a lot more islands in the Caribbean. So my #2024wish is to go to El Salvador. #wheretogo When I was in San Juan, Puerto Rico for a vacation, I jumped at the chance to have lunch at Restaurant Barrachina, and it did not disappoint! Located in Old San Juan, Barrachina is the birth place of the world famous original Piña Colada drink. The quality of the food served is great and portions are quite generous. Without doubt naturally I had to order a glass of Piña Colada too - it was awesome. Highly recommend advance reservations. My rating of this restaurant: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!
