#newyearadventure We took a fantastic journey around a very small part of Egypt, we took the bus to relaxing Dahab stayed 5 days, then off to chaotic Cairo 🙈😂👌🏽, we stayed 8 days and explored lots.. zoo, cairo tower, dream park, aquarium grotto gardens and lots more, then onto tanta for a few days and it has lots of hustle and bustle and then onto beautiful alexandria.. just for a day we had a beautiful meal and walked along the sea and visited the fort.. all definitely worth a visit #urbanexplorer

#tripblazers Cairo tower was not on my list of things to do in Cairo but as we stayed a few extra days we thought why not and I’m so glad we did, it was immense I felt like a tiny ant and the view from the top was fantastic, we could just see the pyramids in the distance. The tower is manned by very friendly staff and it is kept very clean, we all had to wear masks in the lift to the top

Atop Cairo Tower you see the Nile split around you and rejoin on the other side of Gezira Island. Few places in Cairo offer such a view of the cityscape. You see gardens and football fields stretch out below you and the shimmer of the Nile vying to reach the horizon line. This old city has some charm. #happynewyear

Besides many enthusiastic and over-the-top scammers beside the Nile, there is also a snack bar worth visiting, where local Cairo people will also line up. Now you order and pay at the counter, and then pick up your meal at the corresponding counter. I just came back from a $17 burger in New York, and the prices in Egypt are really comfortable. Recommended for you if you are traveling in Cairo. #egypt

Near the Cairo tower is a coffee roasting shop that has been open since the 1920's. It is family owed, they buy beans from all over the world and prepare their own blends with and without cardimum. You can watch the beans being roasted. It smelled delicious. #wintergetaway #wintergetaway
