We flew from London to Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), the busiest airport in the DR. The flight time from London to Punta Cana is about 9 hours and 15 minutes. There was a 14 day programme meaning that if you go there for 2 weeks you won't see the same show twice. In addition, we had live music at the bar every night with different artists playing instruments and singing. Impressive and enjoyable.

This hotel did fit everything we wanted and we really loved the "love corners" that were scattered all over. We even got "honeymooner" t-shirts which was a great touch from the hotel.

One evening we visited the traditional Carribean restaurant called Yuca. We enjoyed the food as well as the interior and exterior of the restaurant. Sampled some local food and even made friends with our waiter Pedro.

The hotel had a lot of palm trees all over and there were fresh coconuts across the resort. We figured that the gardeners pick fresh coconut and can cut it for you in exchange for a tip. This is our friend preparing a fresh cooonut for us. It was amazing. $1 goes a long way.

It was the first time we saw flamingos so close to us - beautiful birds. Everything was well maintained, green and beautiful. There were some quiet areas as well and even book corners where one can sit down or lie down, relax and read a book.
